What the **** has Barch done wrong? In Toronto he was a +2 and he's even on the year. He gets his butt kicked in fights but so does this guy.

People aren't doing it right.

*AHEM*

This guy has..... Former Devil Jim Dowd written all over him. He's a great 4th liner with many 4th line features. I'm guessing he starts out on the 4th line, but if he impresses the coaching staff he may work himself up to 4th line duties.

I remember this one time, he hit this guy and then got into a fight, oh damn, yeah that was sweet.

I wish there was a way we could pit Cam and Kost together and see who comes out on top. Oh wait...

We added a 600 game NHL veteran to fill the roster spot left open after dumping Butler, instead of using Janssen or a random Albany guy. There's nothing to complain about here.

I've seen over a couple threads that people are wondering why we claimed him and didn't claim Boychuk or Hamrlik.

Both of those players were claimed before our waiver spot.

Why in gods name would we want Hamrlik for?

No idea. On my lunch break, I read a post in one of the threads that he would have been a better option than Kostopoulis. Don't have the desire to find out who it was.

“He’s a right-handed shot, fourth-line right wing,†Lamoriello said. “He knows how to play the game, has some size and strength and we feel he can help our fourth line. Really there’s no risk involved, so we’ll see.â€

AKA a potential upgrade over Jansen/Barch.

The End.

I know there was no guarantee of Sykie duplicating what he did last season but at the very least, we'd get a few more goals than we're getting now in every game that we lost without having him on the team.

As someone else said : "Le Sigh."

It has been said over and over he clearly ran out of gas by the 2nd half and the playoffs. Every team in the league passed on him for a reason. He would of looked old, slow and would also not be scoring goals and everyone on here would be *****ing to the rafters how he is wasting a roster spot.

The End.

In a shortened season, he wouldn't have run out of gas at this point, though.

And to be honest with you, I think he'd STILL be a better option to have on this team right now than Barch/Janssen/Butler/Door #3.

End The.

At this point, I'm kinda wishing we had held on to Butler. It's becoming more and more obvious that the problem isn't any one player, and guys like Butler and Josefson stand out among a slump because they're supposed to be "proving themselves."

But at the same time, especially after Lou's comments, there's not much bad to say about picking up Kostopoulos. He's another chapter in the ongoing search to find 4 good lines again.
