no pregame i guess lol
He hasn’t faced the Canucks in 3 years! That is basically facing an entirely different team wearing the same laundry. We will see if history repeats itself. Blackwood is 4-0-0 in his 4 starts against Vancouver. 0.73 GAA and .972 SV%. Could be why they started him tonight.
f*** you!
Two games in 19-20. A 2-1 victory with 30 saves on 31 shots and a 1-0 shutout with 25 saves. When is the last time he even played the Canucks?

Well we are certainly not at the point where throwing Blackwood out there who historically has been TERRIBLE is considered a good idea either.Whoah there. Love ya, mean it, but I don't think we're quite at the point where anything can be considered a sure win and THAT'S why Vitek should be playing.
That was never a possibility. We would get one of the next two games. No one on her is suggesting him not getting a start on the trip.Guess they don't want him to ride the bench for a long time cause there's no back to backs to the 25/26 of the month. Still don't like it. Play the hot hand.
I get it and I'd rather have kept giving Vanecek the net, but the numbers are the numbers and I don't think it's a huge issue. If he gets lit up sure, but I do this KIND of makes sense if you're being any smidgen of optimistic which I'm trying to be.Nice try but..... No, it doesn't kind of make sense.
His last game against Vancouver was on November 10th of 2019. Which was about 155 weeks ago. Well over a thousand days ago.
Like, that was literally OVER ONE HUNDRED GAMES AGO for Blackwood!
Who's been REALLY BAD for SIXTY games now.
I'd say this start still looks wildly suspect.
They didn’t send Spaulding and Dano on site?
I'd rather give Blackwood NO games but if I had to, I'd give him the first Calgary game (sacrifice him there). Our next 4 games are Vancouver, Edmonton, and Calgary twice. Of those 4, I'd rather give Blackwood Vancouver.
That actually a reason to start him back one of those teams. Very good chance they lose said games anyways. Increase you odds at the more winnable games and make sure you don’t bleed out too much from the trip.Personally think this is the game to start Blackwood. Calgary and Edmonton have a lot more firepower up front. Also hopefully he knows if he wants to share the net at all he has to put together a solid game. Could be good motivation.
