A lot of people have talked getting rid of Palat and Dougie. I say they may settle for freeing up a little bit by getting rid of Haula instead; who makes roughly half of what Palat makes and only has a year left to Palat’s 2 and Dougie’s 3?

But I’m not sure how much that will free up. It’s hardly anything.

He frees zero money as he has to be replaced most likely by a player making his salary or probably higher.

Yeah, I thought they were pretty tepid in the 1st, it’s not surprising we didn’t score. I thought they were trying to not make mistakes, rather than push offensely, and then something really dumb happened.

We definitely did more in the 2nd, and there were some nice saves, so that was frustrating.

We just spacey and not very physical.

And Allen is coming back from an injury and sucks tonight. So there’s that.

I don’t know, this is one where it feels right to say we’ve been unlucky. We’ve had the better (or majority of) chances at even strength. Columbus has gotten away with some things that look like they could have been called. To their credit, they’ve capitalized on our defensive errors and taken advantage of second opportunities.

I didn’t like the call on Timo, but understand how it could be viewed as goalie interference in real time. They score on that and put us further behind the 8 ball.

I don’t think Allen has been great, but his defense hasn’t been as supportive as they’ve been of late.
