A guy on our current lineup has to go, I have had the opinion and it might be obvious but I honestly don't seen any other way. I can see it being Shara, if it's not Wood plus other pieces to make it more attractive.

SJ were at 49/50 now at 47. Assuming we give them Johnsson and probably 1 guy on ELC/RFA contract so they stay at 49. Maybe 2 guys but I doubt it because for some reason no team ever goes up to a full 50, few teams at 49 rn.
I’m guessing there’s 3. SJS are gonna be getting rid of other contracts this week. Probably a 2 young guy signed and maybe Johnsson.

In an unprecedented turn of events, the Devils will be sending a 1st round pick to the Sharks but will be outsourcing the rest of the assets from the Islanders, unbeknownst to them

Correct. Given the time it's taking, I would say the most likely person to be involved would be Mukhamadullin, as it is late at night in Russia right now, but that's just me speculating. Might be other holdups and not every twenty-something is as addicted to their phone as I might imagine.

I don’t think they would hold up the announcement for Muk. It wouldn’t be life changing for him.

That'd be an extremely shitty way to do business and it would only be a second-rate organization that would think or act this way. It is, of course, extremely life-changing to be traded off the team you were drafted by to another team. Mukhamadullin signed a contract here and according to him, he is in frequent contact with the team.
