Devils aren't done. There will be one more impact player added between now and training camp.

If there is an impact player added, it will be from a Hall trade. Im not supposed to say that, as Ive been "warned" for my opinion that I think it will happen. If you dont hear from me for 3 days, Im in the HF gulag.

What a ridiculous statement by Hynes. Just stop at "we see him as an important part of our team.".

You guys think Ty Smith makes the squad this year?

I think he's got a good chance to get at least his 9 game audition. Assuming no injuries, they could spread out those 9 games over the first two months of the season and then make the decision whether to keep him or send him back in time for the WJC. Two months of practicing against NHL players (plus getting NHL paychecks) probably would be better than sending Smith directly back to juniors in September.

I talked to an official with the team this morning, they confirmed that Wayne Simmonds will be playing on either the first, second, third or fourth line.

Take it with a grain of salt.
So at least it's confirmed that he won't be a healthy scratch?:sarcasm:

I mean what did anyone expect Hynes to say? He's not going to come out and say he's playing with Hall and Nico or he'll be on the fourth line. It's a pretty standard dumb question dumb answer.

I'm sorry, I need a link. I think eklund had something about the fourth line though.

Not really. "Where will Simmonds play?" Is a pretty decent question, and he could have said something about where he might fit.

I was just being a smartass about the phrasing he used. If I really wanted to read too much into it I'd say he hates Zacha since he didn't mention him as one of our centers.:sarcasm:

Maybe that's because hes going to play Zacha on the wing :sarcasm:

Im fairly confident McLeod starts as 4C and unless he tanks, he sticks I think.

Im also confident Boqvist doesnt make it this year but instead playing in Sweden or the AHL (one is VASTLY better for him than the other). Itd be far too much to ask for him to learn the small ice in the NHL.
