Seriously though, Braun is even worse than Andy Greene. I badly want him off of the Sharks. I think he'd even suck as a bottom pairing guy. I remember people on the main board suggesting that the Sharks would be worse if they got Karlsson and Braun wasn't playing all those minutes.

I agree that the Sharks made a great trade, but I'm just saying that they're at a much different point of their contention window than a lot of other teams - their window is closing fast, and this is the kind of thing that keeps it open another year.

they can build for the next 7 years around kane, karlsson, meier and hertl. whether or not that's a succesful strategy i don't know but i expect their gm to have a more optimistic view of their window
