Post-Game Talk: Devil IV

Remember when we were laughing at their lineup tinkering and goalie switch? The look of desperation? It worked for them. I wonder since it's two days off, will we do the same? Shuffle the PP units and 5v5 lines.

The more concerning issue is that we have more players Othmann, Sykora and company coming soon, will the organization help them grow or will the same trend continue. Imo this is the organizations biggest flaw.

With all due respect, at what point does the onus start to fall on the young player to make something of the minutes they do get?

You could make the case for KK, but the other two, what are they exactly doing to warrant being on the 1st or 2nd line? If anything, I'm ready to see them be on the 4th line.

He has never and will never get over that trade with the kings. He hates this franchise for it and will never let it go.

They were .500 because they were sleepwalking, probably out of boredom but who knows. It took Trouba's helmet toss to wake them up. They focused on grinding out 2 points to make the playoffs and they did. What they have never truly done is play up to the talent level this team has. Which points to the coaching, setup, approach again.

He's maybe an injury call up next year if he goes the AHL route. I'd honestly rather he spends the overage year in the OHL if I'm honest. Send him to a skating school this summer and next and tell him it's his spot to lose in 2024.

Its not just the current kids, its almost every kid forward we get. I mean except for Kreider and Stepan there isn't a lot to get excited about as far as players we drafted and developed. I mean Laf and Kakko were sure fire talents that stalled as soon as they got here, and they arent the only ones, it's been going on for years.
Just take a peak at the highest players we picked in each draft.

Gallant's goose is cooked if they drop 4 in a row again, rest assured. I'm worried about who replaces him more than I am worried about what happens if he stays on another though, TBH.

I know i already posted about me being at the game. But i just have to add..

This team is not beating the devils or any team playing this lifeless, gutless, no balls hockey. Its not even like the devils did anything. It was the rangers players who just weren't quick to the puck, didnt make smart passes, looked slow, and dumb, took beach ball shots, nobody in front of the net, pp stale as f***.

If this team loses in the first round against the devils, you can best believe that Drury will be making real changes to this team. He was already deeply upset with panarin last year. Now he went out and got a bunch of his buddies to play with him. NONE of them have been effective. The team hasnt been effective.. You think Gallant will still be coach? LOL.

Im truly disgusted with this rangers team. Both of my rangers jersey that were worn tonight are in the garbage. Bc that what this team has become.

It may be 2-2 in the series and i HOPE that momentum doesnt carry game to game but... This is over. Devils in 6.

Buch we traded wrongfully. Miller's physical game is non-present, which is a bigger issue. Kravtsov is a diva, and Andersson was a head-case.

It is what it is. Still, all three of the kids took a step-back compared to the last playoffs when they were contributing.

They deserve the town hall style booing like this honestly. Truthfully, even that would be kind.

Holy Fekking H*ll, 24 post-game pages already ??!!

Only got thru page 1, and gave a like to 2/3 of those posts.

Someone on this page tho mentioned losing Tarasenko at season-end. Hear me out. No.

You convince No-Playoffs-For-Me Panarin to “take a package” and we can keep the bigger stronger #91. Can also keep Motte and Mikkola.

(Meantime also jettison Kane - obviously - and trade Laf and picks for a GD center who can 1) score and 2) win faceoffs)
 
BTW, we might still win this series but when the team is completely shut down by the Devils imagine a team with an actually good defense or goalie. They'll go the route of Florida next round even if they miraculously get past the Devils. But it won't matter, they'll score no more than 2 goals total in the next two games and choke like the losers they are. Thankfully I'll be in Italy and won't witness this garbage. I'd say I'm ready for the offseason but it's all downhill from here and there's no next year to look forward to. This was their best chance and they'll be out in 6 in the first round.

Schmiddy has been better than Vanecek but their team is also playing much better in front of Schmiddy.

If changes aren't made on our end, I'll be floored. Whether they have an impact or not, I'm not sure.
