He's 100% a cap casualty either way.

I think we see three forwards (one core forward, a kid, and Goodrow) and a top 4 defenseman moved this summer if the Rangers flame out in Round 1.

Where the f*** has Zibanejad been?

Zibenejad's game is built on the PP. Kane on PP1 and Zibanejad doesn't touch the puck pretty much at all the last 7 chances. TAKE KANE OFF THE PP1. That PP1 core has been excellent for years now

I don't give a shit about the Devils. The Rangers are deeply flawed in their base approach. That is the issue. Especially on home ice and that has been evident all season. This series would have been over if Gallant & Co weren't so badly out of date riding all kinds of ridiculous hobby horses that make life needlessly difficult for the team. Away is slightly different because it's easier to counter attack and prey on the other team's mistakes than carry the game yourself (see game 1 & 2).

I just don't think the answer is that easy. The other team had a lot to do with what the Rangers didn't do. The Rangers have a good home record but the Devils have an outstanding road record, only behind Boston.
