I hate watching these types of playoff games but I expected this. Reminded me of Game 3 vs. Montreal in 2014. This team never can step on any throats.

Going to need to solve this goalie if they're going to win this series. The Rangers just looked off kilter because of this dude. Second guessing it and hesitating a fraction of a second and missing the net.

They overthought things. They didn't away. Now there's a lot of pressure on Monday.

I don't think we played particularly well, but I don't think they played that fantastic either (although I thought their speed showed through more tonight at times than in the first two games). They looked a little tighter defensively imo. Lots of sloppiness on both sides tonight.

We had our chance on that late 3rd period PP. Couldn't get it done.

The loss f***ing sucks but regroup and win game 4 and this shit is over. Rangers were not even remotely close to focused.

Put them in a hotel tonight and tomorrow. Whatever it takes.

What are you talking about? We played a horrific game overall. Devils didn't play well either, but we played some terrible hockey for so much of the game. So many poor passes, missed shots, shanks, etc. Nowhere near good enough.

I've seen a million and a half teams come back from 2-0 down.

I've seen us take a 2-0 lead, lose game 3, win game 4, and still lose the series.

The little patterns are meaningless. You have to win 4 and we've won 2.

No one in NHL history has come back from a 3-0 deficit. Winning here puts the Devils in a proverbial impossible situation. We had this game and coughed it up. Neither team played great, which makes this inexcusable from us. We played down to the opposition at home again

We had them on the ropes, if we won this game like we had ample opportunity to do we would have been up 3-0 and it would have been a sweep.

I've been a fan for over 20 seasons and I can think of three series we've won in less than 6 games and one of those we won four games by 2-1 scores. This franchise is middling AF. So tired of it. This is the best team we've had since 94 and it still has ZERO killer instinct.

You have less than a 10% chance of beating a team that had a better record than you in less than 6 games.

Team needs to stay in a hotel for all of these games. Treat every game like a road game. They're playing down to the competition. That's what's so frustrating.

This gsme vs Montreal is exactly what this game reminded me of and exactly what I was worried about coming in to tonight because it’s the same situation coming home up 2-0. I was hoping this team was different but it seems they’re the same. Can’t step on the opponent’s throat when it’s right there. It really sucks. The Devils didn’t even play well, what a wasted opportunity.

They looked like a different team tonight. Sloppy and not crisp at all. I think the ice was shit bc everyone was falling and flubbing pucks on both sides.

A lot of dumb plays too. In OT Trouba off a turnover at the blueline has the puck with Kreider to his left and Kane right next to him and only 1 devil back and instead of giving it to Kane he just skated into him and kills the play dead himself. Make a quick pass to Kane there and they could’ve had a good chance. Tons of shit plays like that tonight.

They let NJ drag them into a track meet, still out played NJ at their own game but the special teams weren’t clicking. Should be an easy fix for Monday.

A sweep wasn’t realistic, get the adversity out of the way early. They got this.

I think they need a way to get Mika back into the one timer spot but use some play action to disguise it. He can't stay in the bumper the full minute Gallant gives PP1, or have him at the side of the net doing behind the back plays.

We’re going to lose games in the playoffs. What’s disappointing is the Devils played horribly and we gave them a win. Rangers waisted the first period trying to put in a show for the crowd instead of sticking to their game plan.
