Tight game that Rangers had enough chances to score but didn't capitalize on. I don't see this continuing with all of the different offensive weapons we have but scoring one goal is not going to cut it. Devils improved their defensive play and Rangers need to adjust.

I didn't like changing the PP unit. I thought the first unit had some good looks and shots. Yes, the Devils PK was better but I thought the first unit could break them with more time.

The broadcast was atrocious. I don't know what kind of contract ABC has with the NHL but this cannot be helping ratings. Go find Doc Emrick and make him an offer he can't refuse.

MSG definitely appeared quiet. I have no idea if it's the feed or the crowd or both but the tickets costing an arm and a leg would make sense in terms of a crowd more interested in saying they went to the game as opposed to actually being interested in it. This is why the crowds at college football games are much better than the NFL IMO.

Woke up this morning still not feeling good about the wasted opportunity. Devils have life now. Rangers really need to come out and get he crowd in to game 4 from the get go. The first period last night was a perfect road period for the devils and we played right in to it. Barely did anything.

The crowd is electric before puck drop but they need something to cheer about.

A multi goal lead at the end of the first would be nice. Don’t like Schmid keep building his confidence, don’t let him get in your heads any further.

Not blaming either goalie for this but between Hank and Igor our playoff OT record has to be no better than 0.333.

I’m sure you would be agree that we didn’t lose because of Igor. We lost because we couldn’t convert any of the 5 PP’s we got. Just needed to convert one of those, just one, and we win.

We didn't but I'm just tired of losing in playoff OT. Though, I guess I'll take our OT record with two game 7 OT wins rather than a slightly better record with game 7 OT losses.

Goaltending isn’t the issue for the devils.

#1 is completely accurate. Adding to it, MSG on a Saturday night is going to be full of people who are wealthy, have access to corporate seats & are looking to be seen instead of interested in the game itself. Makes for a horrible atmosphere & a really tame playoff crowd.

#2, the ice at MSG, especially this time of year with warmer, humid weather & a ton of events is going to be worse than usual. And usual sucks as is.

#3 is a fair analysis, but Sam & Joe are still head & shoulders above the shit ESPN trotted out there last night. The fact that awful broadcast, including the pregame/intermissions/post game shows, was "showcased" on a national level was straight up embarrassing. The NHL is truly out to lunch thinking that ESPN has been good for the sport. Hopefully you were able to get a Canadien feed last night & weren't subjected to the US broadcast.

Agree 100% about the ESPN coverage being bottom of the barrel for any other options out there. And if MSG wants to keep Sam and Joe for another decade, and the fans are on board with it; no issues for me. I have other options for Rangers games if I want. But Man would it be nice to have a Chris Cuthbert or a Kenny Albert dedicated to Rangers games.

Everyone shitting on Panarin and Zib. I thought they were fine. Devils are clearly targeting them defensively. Which makes sense, they drove our offense all season long. It's no coincidence that Kreider is thriving right now. The benefits of having so many offensive weapons and depth on your team.

Zib had some chances on the first couple PPs. Panarin had plenty of chances throughout the game. I think they'll be fine. Those will start going in.

Kenny is the heir apparent to Sam, so we'll be in good hands. Sam started in '84-85, & deserves to got out on his own terms. so maybe he calls it quits in a year or two. 40 years is a nice round number.

Kenny is knowledgable but sounds too much like Marv. That voice is like a fork on a porcelain plate to me.
