Ah yes, him and Ned Lukacevic have all the tools to make it.

Those were some lean years when it came to dev camp. I'm surprised by the lack of coverage by lakingsinsider.com.

Yes, and Petr Kanko is a lock to make the team this year...you can see it in his wild eyes. Second line LW dilemma solved!

Yutaka Fukufuji could be the Kings backup goalie in the future...

(100% positive I said that after his 4 game callup. With All of Bernier, Quick, Zatkoff, and Taylor drafted at the time... :shakehead )

Any word on Prokhorkin?

No. He wasn't even listed on the roster for this camp and isn't there. The latest news is there is no news.

Oh and for those wondering on the schedule:

It got buried admist all the Greene, Kopitar stuff that was posted on the blog...

There was very few players that impressed like Petr Kanko did that first year he was in Development Camp.

Obviously, it shows us what we knew lol.

Actually it was injuries that took out Aulin. Had he stayed healthy he might actually have been a second line center in the NHL.

I still remember his two goal game against Carolina. I think that was his first 2 NHL goals, but I can't really remember.

I have almost forgotten his entire time with us. He is one of a few prospects that I didn't know much prior to his being drafted and once he came to us I never had the chance to speak with him. I do remember he had some solid time with us and after looking at my notes on him he seemed to have allot of promise before the injuries took over.

He is still playing today (or was last season) in the SHL. He has had a solid pro career though not so much in the NHL.

Injuries took him out of serious consideration with us and after that he never seemed to find his NHL game.

Yeah.. Part of the failed trade for blake. Guys got injured. Aulin stood up for CAmmy, and that was pretty much the last we saw of him.

Did anyone go to any of the sessions today?

I'm planning on going one of these days and wanted to come at a good time. I for sure want to come when all the groups are on the ice together, and I'd prefer it be a time where there are some scrimmages and not just conditioning and practice drills, although I understand that those things cover most of the camp.

Anyone have insight into this?

Lastly, which day has been designated for the interviews?

Niederberger is an excellent goalie. I'm sure he'll get a long look with Gibson leaving the organization.

If any of the undrafted kids gets an NHL contract, it will be this guy.

And I mean an actual contract, not a Monarchs deal, which he's apparently on now.

I'm real surprised someone didn't take a 7th round flyer on this guy, but I guess that could be said of a lot of guys. It's really questionable if his game will translate to the NHL (or even AHL) level, but if it does, he has all the tools to be a solid pro for a long time.

I didn't think it was anything too bad. I read it as his development stalled a bit being away from the NA game in the KHL.

Don't be. The Kings actually don't want the media around until Wednesday, and ONLY on Wednesday. Jon was lucky to be able to talk to Emerson yesterday.
