That bike ride along sends a message to all other prospects and raises the bar if you want to shine more than others. A hard working Slaf (like Suzuki) is great for development.

Slaf has good skating and skill. The area we don't know is how he adjust to less time and space. Got to make quicker decisions with the puck in the NHL and even in the AHL. Many young players talk about this when the turn pro. The time and space you have in other leagues is just not the same.

He seems ready for the challenge. He had a little taste of NHL quality at the WC's.
