Today is the last day right? Have there been / will there be any posts going through impressions of all the prospects at camp and how they did? I always love those posts - I'll try to find some going through the thread but maybe I'll wait until after today's last day.

I saw posts from one person who was there. Would be thrilled if anybody has actually attended to give the rest of us the benefit of their observations. Don't be shy.

I'm with you. I wanted Wright all along. My guess is Wright reminded them of a player they already had in Suzuki and that they felt they could address center by other means. Dach for starters and next year's draft. This would show some foresight and an aspect of team building we haven't been accustomed to. There is absolutely no need for anyone to sweat anything at this point we all need to trust the process.
I think Wright's attitude hurt him. Montreal has to be very fussy about character

It’s an explanation
It has nothing to do with that. Number of points? Sure. And even if you want to talk about points, the guy crushed it in the 2nd half. So Covid was long gone. But by the way, Covid existed for everybody. It still make Wyatt Johnston go from 30 points to 124 points. Othmann from 33 points to 97 etc.

Again, I do think Wright will be a very good player. I personnally ended up going with Cooley 'cause of the dynamic aspect of his game. But I had Wright 2nd for the complete aspect of it and knowing full well that yes, being bored at a junior level does not necessarily mean being lazy at a pro level. Still, he fell in the rankings with a lot of scouts. That's just the fact. Now, being 4th pick doesn't mean you are bad.....See a guy named Makar...

With this being UFA day, I think many will forget about the last day of camp.

In my case, I have a meeting right when the "scrimmage" happens and UFA start. I will be missing all the fun.

See it as it may, but half of the league’s head scouts saw Slaf as number one. In a draft year where, according to them, very few players are to become first line players.
But what does that really mean? When he saw KK, Scotty Bowman was reminded of Jean Beliveau. These guys are looking at 16-17 year olds. It's a crap shoot. Their record is worse than baseball hitters. If they get 24 picks out of 100 right they're considered geniuses. If I get 24 out of a 100 right on an IQ test they'll give me safety goggles for fear I'll pluck out my eyes when I eat my steak.

I'm in a wait and see mode. I watched a little of Wright and nothing of Slaf so I really have no right to comment but the history of both players has me leaning towards Wright. My love for the Habs has me hoping Hugo proves the adage that two heads are better than one.

Man, the hand-eye coordination on that kid is giving me the vapors o_O Good luck taking the puck away from him on the powerplay.
