Development Camp 2022 (July 10th-13th)

MA Godin mentioned in his article that Heineman told him that he is still under contract with Leksands. And Godin got the impression that Heineman might not be interested to play in Laval. That he will try to make the Habs out of the camp or go back to SHL. Heineman didn't flat out say it, but from his comments, Godin got that impression.

What Montreal could try to convince Heineman to stay is if he starts in Laval, he has the opportunity to earn a call up and get to the NHL this year. Whereas if he goes back to Sweden, he won't be able to play NHL until next year.

Let him return to Sweden then. No harm done.

Wouldn't be the end of the world. But I'd much rather he stay here and start in Laval if need be.

Similar to how I felt with Norlinder last year. If he returned to Sweden, I wouldn't be upset. But I would have preferred he had stayed here to play in Laval and possibly get called back up to Habs (particularly after the TDL when they shipped Chiarot and Kulak out).

Reactions: LaP

I hope this year is the last and final year that Mailloux is asked to discuss what he did in Europe and how he's progressing to be a better person.

What happened around his case was healthy, but we're getting close to the expiration date here, where making him rehashing about this will become creepier than what he actually did.

If they keep going about this in 2024 this has the smell of Soviet psychiatry.

It might be a transfer agreement issue, like with Norlinder last year. Unless he is a first rounder, it's all the players decision.

Why the f***? He talked lengthily about the f***ing thing. Why not put it to rest? I don't see how it's beneficial for him or any other person to keep parroting him doing interviews when he never played a game here for now.
so done with it, the media can take a hike.

Simon Boisvert may be "very strange", but he seemed smart to me in his interview with Tony Marinaro. I agree with him that Geekie has the potential to be the best player from the 2022 class, IF things go well for him. Boisvert said himself that it's easy for him to say this, when his job is not on the line, hinting that if he had skin in the game he would have gone another way.

Anyway, I'm tempted to trust his eye as of yet, but I don't know the man too much.

If Hutson can't skate backward properly, it's another reason to try him at forward. Don't want to waste those skills because he can't make it at D.

Geekie going to be the bust of this draft, he's awful

I am looking forward to see the presser with the 8 bastards who raped that girl in London..... I know, we could never know their names.

I was thinking the same thing. He could still lead a PP. Or he could be our very own Ohtani and play forward some shifts and Defense on others . Wild!!
Let him grow, learn and play in College for the next 2-3 years. We will see from there. Way too early to project anything with him. 31 other orgs decided NOT to draft him for many reasons.

I guess this is part of "becoming a better person".

The organization wants to see how he'll handle it...

Hopefully, they'll ask him about his injury and hockey stuff also and not just about the incident 25 times.

do we know anything about Mailloux's injury ( is it the same from hes fight? ) and if hes gonna be ready for London's camp kid barely played any hockey last 2 years hopefully he can stay healthy this season
