McDavid - #1 overall
R Nugent H - #1overall
Draisaitl - #3 overall
J Puljujarvi - #4 overall

Just how many top 4 picks do you need ? Detroit has had 1 recently - Lucas Raymond - #4 overall.
You are correct, my comment would have made way more sense if I said wings instead of oilers. I mean, what do you think the yzerplan could have done with ALL THAT HIGH END draft capital?

RNH, Yakupov, Puljujarvi, Hall... So many franchise changing players.
I understand why so many teams in the league are jealous of the Oilers draft gifts.

Gimme a f***ing break lol

Regardless, every team will take winning a handful of first overall picks, vs not winning, and improving chances of getting their McDavid.
Oilers had so many they literally changed the system.

And as the Oilers have proven, getting a 1st overall doesn't guarantee shit.
They didn't even have the 1st overall for McDavid, they won the lotto, they "earned" Hall, RNH and Yak. Woweee.

Yep and the oilers got the lottery rules changed, cause they kept winning it, wooo

Lot of Oiler trashing.. I was trying to show a screen shot of our different spots in the standings but Detroit was too low to fit in the image.

It's been a nice run though and I am curious if Detroit climbs into that elusive playoff spot.

Sorted by points percentage

The East wildcard race may be the story of the regular season as it looks to be an amazing finish to the season. I think Boston and Rangers have best shot of rising up into a playoff spot today. Big surprise for me is that Isles are 8-2 in the last 10 and have won 6 in a row. Detroit is second in that non playoff group at 6-3-1 and 4 in a row. Keep it up!
