I just don't think you can ignore this if you're honestly evaluating Yzerman's drafting so far; getting something out of rounds 2-7 is a big part of being good at the draft.
Albert Johansson playing top 4 minutes lately and looks very good. Small sample size but definitely something to keep an eye on.
Söderblom is also back in the NHL, looks like a significantly improved version of the guy that was up a few years ago.
Does this count as "something"?

Probably because some people keep posting in it after it's been dormant for over 24hrs and probably not even on the top page anymore...

If your team is on the main board then you should expect to get honest outside perspective from members who don't wear DET blinders, which certainly may not align with your own echo chamber views. Nobody is going to your boards to break that up your fun. But on the main board you will get other perspectives that may not align with the sweet sweet kumbaya songs you're singing on your fan board.

Are you lost?

So, yes. Lost.

At least you have Larkin. Always feel bad for teams that don't get that true #1C. I have been waiting a long time as a Flames fan lol
That and having a group of guys that will play for each other. I remember (as a CBJ fan) seeing stories and hearing how Bowman had the team doing things outside of hockey (golf, events etc.) that made the 90s Era DRW seem like a true team. Hitchcock & Tortorella did the same during their time with CBJ, and the rest of the time seemed hopeless.

I think a lot of teams hit a metaphorical wall because of team chemistry that keeps them from making the playoffs consistently. Maybe this is the problem, and if that's the case; they need a coach, an event, a situation or something else that will bring them together.

IDK, don't follow the Wings, so wtf do i know.

For people who don't think Kasper has offensive upside, they need to watch tonight's game against LA. I'm not sure what his final upside is but he reminds me a tonne of Larkin at the same age. A little more physical/more solid but not quite as fast. Energizer bunnies that do everything though

So much is being said about Yzerman and co's drafting but their first round hits are looking all-time good right now... sure they were high picks but no top 3 picks. Going from Seider (6th) -> Raymond (4th) -> Edvinsson (6th) -> Kasper (8th) you're looking at almost surely four top of the lineup players. That's extremely impressive. Usually you'll have a bust or bottom liner in there. You can almost make an argument for any of them at 1st overall in their respective draft. Late round picks are starting to make their mark too. I know I am jumping the gun a little bit but damn... I understand the worry about no "real superstar" but I think Raymond is getting there...

Aside from Soderblom, which late round draft picks are making their mark?
