They never had more wins than losses in regulation all year. It was an uphill battle from day 1. Just too many regulation losses. It was worrying when they could only win in OT, and eventually that runs out. They were cheap wins. You have to be good 5v5, and you have to be good in regulation. For a whole variety of reasons, they weren't. They're bottom 10, closer to bottom 5 in regulation this year. Even if they won every game that went to OT/SO, they would still miss the playoffs.

Feel bad for Iginla having to be in this situation, but this losing streak is doing wonders for our draft pick. We could get a top 10 pick as well as a high 2nd which is where our scouting staff has really excelled.
