It’s clear that many of these guys don’t want to play for Lavi.

I’d make it clear he’s staying. Therefor you’re going if you don’t like that.

I don't disagree but who is he supposed to play? I guess you could slot in Vesey for Kreider or something but Lavi is totally hamstrung. He's a coach that's paid and expected to win - he's not just going to sink the season in December.

I’ll give you Torts but AV teams were playing the 6 goalie system

Maybe you think easy to play against = not tough. I just feel like we make it easy in many ways. Piss poor board battles, zero defensive structure & poor or NO outlet passes & forwards leaving the zone. Not shooting the puck in the o zone… blind passes, giving up our blue line & not attacking theirs. Too cute all the time.

That’s easy to play against to me.

So he calls up Jake Leshitshow to teach Mika a lesson, but what lesson is being taught? Mika already knows he isn't playing well enough. But he also knows that Jake isn't actually a danger to his roster spot.
If there was a legit prospect in Hartford it could make sense, but right now the cupboard is bare and as much as scratching some vets would make us all a little happier, I can't see it actually changing anything

It's a spiral.
You need your best players to play well to win.
Guys can't get out of a slump if they don't play.
Play your best players in a slump.
They keep sucking, you're probably out.
Play Sam Carrick 21 minutes a night you are DEFINITELY out.

So you run the vets out and hope they make it happen. 5% chance of working vs 0% chance of working with running your 4th liners out there 30 shifts a game.

And you keep him there or keep repeating it until he figures it's time to pull his head from his ass, and if he's upset, tell him to waive.
