GDT: Denmark vs Czech Republic

We're doing everything but score.. not sure Danes have a shot on net. Just patiently sitting back.

Great look from Kubalik! I feel we have the skils to score a nice goal but I'll take a greasy one too.lol

I totally agree, however I cant be to picky here. Us leading is good, although it isnt pretty, I still hope we can continue.
 
Also, if we had players like Eller, Ehlers and Bjorkstrand available, I suspect we would play a bit different. Unfortunately we dont :(
 
It looks like an ineffective powerplay but it's actually 5 on 5. TSN made a hillarious comment about patches of ice in the Czech zone still haven't been skated on.

This can only mean one thing... Danes will score soon.

I think Danes are playing it to perfection.

Score first and shut it down.

Ehlers is probably one of my 5 fav NHL players.. love that guy!

Yeah, I'm hoping for Denmark to make the Olympics. We have yet to see a fully loaded Denmark. They can at least field two competitve lines: Ehlers - Eller Bjorkstrand, Jensen - True - Boedker + Frederik Andersen in net. A little low on depth, but could still upset one of the top teams on a bad day

Totally agree... great team D, great goalie and then a guy like ehlers scores. It's a good recipe.

Who do you have to beat to quality for Olympics?
 
I don't think Chytil was trying to run the goalie.. really not his style at all.

Too early to start panicking? This game has a nightmare feel to it.

Denmark is in a qualification group with Norway, Slovenia and South Korea. I think Denmark is the favourite in that group. Slovenia will of course have Kopitar, but not much else. Norway feels like a team on decline, even if they have Zuccarello. South Korea shouldn't have a chance

Probably more bad luck in that penalty call.. helmet popping off.

Still, we need a goal. 2 good shots so far. I like our PP.. lots of shots and af ew quick passes.

I agree, but unfortunately we always find a way to f*** things up when we are the favourites :laugh: last olympic qualification is a perfect example of that. Strongest lineup ever and we manage to lose to Slovenia and another team I cant remember

Copenhell was a great watchable festival-gig ... before corona hit the world that is. Also this Denmark fronted by that really hot Jokerit-chap Nicklas Jensen is; everything in sight for him - he shoots and he scores ; he ain't a joke.

Zadina and Kubalik with 7 shots.. it's not like we're not getting the puck to the right guys. Flek with a great chance but he is not a finisher.lol
 
We need to simplify our game. Trying to pass it into an empty net and get fancy with it. Keep it simple!

It will not be easy for the Danes to get through another period of this. You will see the Czechs load two lines and come at them hard.

Watch the Danes score before period ends.. they scored in under 30 seconds last time on PP.
