GDT: Denmark vs Czech Republic

Where is the shotclock for that period?

Danes continue playing it perfect.. I could honestly seem them win 1-0 after scring on a powerplay 2 minutes in. Czechs are in trouble. Tonnes of possession and shots but no result. I do like how we are playing but Danes have the goal.

... still if Finland had chaps and their top guns like Aho, Barkov, Rantanen and even the evil Laine around - then Finland would've been top of the hockey world. Not easy; but then even Canada had to watch out for Finland;

Shots are 26-10... but 1-0 Denmark. This isn't a complaint but frustrating from my end as one of those 26 shots needs to go in. Danes can't go to OT so a tie game means they have to open up. We don't.
 
Danes were close to upseting Slovaks too with a great shutdown game, though we managed to break them in the third. The difference was, we did not concede early.
 
The game has gone exactly as hoped, the Czech team should beat us on paper, but the boys are working hard out there :thumbu: I took a small punt of 100 kroner (15 dollar) on Denmark to win at 8 times money back before the game for fun :naughty:

Exactly.. you cannot go down 1-0 to them. Stupid penalty and their main scorer shooting. Our PK has been bad this tourney and it may cost us a quarter. I'm surpised they didn't know 'get it to Jensen' was the plan.haha

Hrubec needs one more save yet again.
 
Amazing stat from TSN.. Danes have one every game they've scored in! They either lose by shutout or win.

I honestly didn't think we'd score a nice goal.. I was expecting a shipad bounce!

Gorgeous goal... I love Chytil!

Now the Danes MUST score.. OT does nothing for them to my knowledge? It would leave them with 9 or 10 pts which isn't enough.

Hrubec needs to make the big save!
 
Last tourney Kubalik was a Euro heading to NHL and a bit of an unknown. He was amazing as secondary scoring. This year, he looks every bit the leader out there and is everywhere. I'm going to say he is a lock for the best on best Olympics!

Danes starting to apply pressure.. they have to. I imagine a very short bench and lots of Jensen!

Very quiet Vrana... I actually like him as the 13th forward. Give him PP and about 15 minutes of 5 on 5 as a trick play.
