good catch thanks, I’ll remove itBrother…the real Elliotte knows it’s not Hockey In Night Canada
I'm not saying Cat didn't give a list. I'm saying how there's no real insider claims to who is on the list.TSN insider trading, he said. ( not made up, sorry to burst your bubble.)
What’s happened here is DeBrincat’s camp, led by agent Jeff Jackson, has submitted a list of preferred destinations that his client would be interested in joining. The reason that’s significant is that if general manager Pierre Dorion does trade DeBrincat, he would want him to be signed through this trade so he could get maximum value back in return.

Alex DeBrincat has submitted preferred trade list to Ottawa Senators - TSN.ca
Alex DeBrincat's days with the Ottawa Senators appear to be numbered. TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun reports that DeBrincat's agent has submitted a list of preferred trade destinations as contract talks continue to stall between the two sides.www.tsn.ca
That’s fair, it’s the insiders saying what they think. Without going and watching the hit again, I don’t recall their exact wording.I'm not saying Cat didn't give a list. I'm saying how there's no real insider claims to who is on the list.
Friedman or other writers have simply said their guess is Detroit/No Tax teams. Because other players have done that. That's not knowledge of what Cat wants.
So you only believe these types of lists if the player reads them on TV?
Interesting
That isn't what you said back when you used to, for whatever reason, bug us on our board
"I was raised in Montreal but went to school with Cody Ceci"
Dude, you have issues
It’s definitely a hockey city. It’s just got a corporate city. You also have a ton of people who live there who originated in Toronto or MontrealI was actually born and raised in Montreal, that being said, I think Ottawa is a fantastic city. It's just not a hockey city.

I don't care, I now know you came to the Sens board to tell us you went to school in Ottawa. If you want proof of my birth in Montreal and my certificate of graduation from St Petes, you can DM me lol.
I swear to God I'll give you both those things but on the condition that you get as many of your sens friends on here to stop replying to anything and everything I say remotely related to the sens. It's staklerish.

Like I said, you have issues.
The players don't live in Detroit proper. They generally live in Oakland County, one of the most affluent counties in the country, which is a great place to live and raise a family.Career wise going to Detroit might be excellent for Brinksy, IF, he gets a role that he deserves, IF, Yzerman and his coaching staff knows what kind of player he is.
Detroit Red Wings are well managed, they have good pieces to go forwards, good prospects.
Adding someone like DeBrincat would make Detroit oh so much better.
None careerwise though... raising a family in Detroit?... yeah would not be my first destinations to do that... especially for a family with a young child.
DeBrincats loved Ottawa, the city of Ottawa and its fans but things not always go how you picture them.
Yeah the guys gonna make like 60 million he will be in a very nice part of Detroit not the slums lolThe players don't live in Detroit proper. They generally live in Oakland County, one of the most affluent counties in the country, which is a great place to live and raise a family.
He'll fill your arena with disappointment and depleted confidence. That counts for something, eh?17 OA and something that isn't worthless.
I'm on the Cat train with you bro and agree I have this feeling Yzerman is bringing him home, if the price is right, of course.Yeah the guys gonna make like 60 million he will be in a very nice part of Detroit not the slums lol
A lot of wings fans don’t want the cat, me I feel he’s exactly what Detroit needs and fits the core age. Yzerman literally said he’s willing to deal high picks for CORE players It just makes sense.
There are actually some really nice areas once you get out of Wayne County. Birmingham, Bloomfield Hills, etc. are very affluent areas with almost no crime, and Little Caesars Arena is literally right off of Woodward Avenue.None careerwise though... raising a family in Detroit?... yeah would not be my first destinations to do that... especially for a family with a young child.
It's fascinating how people view Detroit, have seen the war-zone esque pictures of ruin porn, and think the entire state of Michigan is like that. There are actually some really nice areas once you get out of Wayne County. Birmingham, Bloomfield Hills, etc. are very affluent areas with almost no crime, and Little Caesars Arena is literally right off of Woodward Avenue.
If the Wings do trade for DeBrincat, they better be looking at also trading for a legit top-6 center like Lindholm. 9 for a signed DeBrincat, 17+ something else for Lindholm.
thanksThe players don't live in Detroit proper. They generally live in Oakland County, one of the most affluent counties in the country, which is a great place to live and raise a family.
I truly hope he believes this nonsense but he is from the area so I'm guessing he knows better.Career wise going to Detroit might be excellent for Brinksy, IF, he gets a role that he deserves, IF, Yzerman and his coaching staff knows what kind of player he is.

DeBrincats loved Ottawa, the city of Ottawa and its fans but things not always go how you picture them.
Ottawa set a record for attendance at the WJC in 2009 (453,282) and has strong support for two Junior teams in the area, the Ottawa 67s and the Gatineau Olympiques, not to mention the other minor Junior leagues in the region.
The Bell Capital Cup youth tournament hosted annually in Ottawa was called "the world's largest hockey tournament" by the Guinness Book of World Records, after the 2019 iteration.
Meanwhile, in Montreal, the number of Junior teams that have folded or left is significant. It's a Habs town, sure, but not much of a hockey town.
When Montreal and Toronto joint hosted the WJC in 2017, the total attendance was half of what it was in Ottawa (257,882). When both cities joint hosted in 2015, it was still significantly short (366,370). And this drawing from almost 10 times the population combined.
This is why no one takes what @ottawa says seriously when it comes to the Nation's Capital.
Ottawa-Gatineau has about 1.5 million people and is Sens country.People go to Ottawa cause tickets are cheap between two major markets - doesn't make it a hockey city.
Even during the WJC, the tickets were much cheaper in Ottawa so people preferred traveling there. However, it's not like most of the people there were Sens fans.
Ottawa is not really a hockey city, it's a commuter hockey city in that fans from Quebec and Toronto go because they can take their families to games for 1/5th of the price. However, because of the cheap tickets, Ottawa loses money every year. If the owner who just paid almost a billion for the team wants to make a profit, which would make sense, and hikes ticket prices - that will be a true test of if Ottawa can sustain a hockey market.
