I'll be the first to eat crow (har har) and admit that I'm pleasantly surprised by how well Hajek has been playing with the big club. He picked up the ball and is running away with it.

Maybe the team in Hartford is so bad, it weighs the better players down?

I never thought that trade with Tampa last year was bad but so many here did. We got Names, Howden, Hajek, plus a 1st and a 2nd that could be another 1st if Tampa wins cup. Not bad, not bad at all.

I've been talking about ADA not shooting in spots he probably should for the last couple GDTs, in particular on the PP.

You're not understanding my point and you're harping on him getting his shot through at a very high rate. I don't care about the rate. He's walking the puck into areas he *should* shoot, but he's not. So it's not attempt. So it doesn't 'hurt' his rate of shots getting through.

But a tipped, or partially blocked, or deflected shot into the corner can have a positive outcome for a variety of reasons. Shattenkirk shot a contested shot, they got a goal. If ADA were there in that spot I'm not sure he takes that same "chance".

Well then that’s your opinion, because when I watch the games, he doesn’t seem to pass up too many shots. Past few games, maybe. Overall, not seeing it.
