Sounds like another Typical Georgiev effort in net. Just looking at the box score, I see he gave up the game tying goal in regulation.
I’m shocked he actually won it the shoot out. The devils must have missed the net a lot.
Don’t know how/why much longer they are going to go on before a change is made on a back up tender
You can hang the second goal on Georgiev but the first goal was a breakaway and the third goal was a defensive breakdown. C’mon man!

Georgiev still had a negative game in GSAx and sub .900 sv%

let's not get crazy. He made some big saves... yes. He's been better than his previous games... but he's still a massive detriment. Kinkaid was always the better choice.... but our front office doesn't know what to do with Georgiev... same with Hajek..

Like most teams, the Rangers regularly practice shootouts. The coaches know who can and can’t perform. Kreider had all of one attempts in his career before tonight. What does that tell you?

I thought the Rangers played pretty well but I was definitely impressed with the Devils. They are not the shithole we are used to seeing. Nice balance on their lines and their defense moved the puck well. What they lack is star power.
This is what we are doing to be up against for the next few years once Pitt/Wash finally kick the bucket

Still can't believe they didn't challenge kakko's goal. Every replay shows him hitting blackwood in the head while the goalie is in the crease. Gotta get lucky sometimes...

Yeah the eye test continues to be good for Kakko as well.

Still not a fit on that line though, in my opinion.

I thought so too, but he looked much more in tune with them in this game, and he facilitated a lot of great stretch passes to kickstart transition for that line. They have really good underlying numbers together too.

I'd go back to Laf-Mika-Kreider because that line had good numbers too in the first 7 games.

So who is up with Blais out?

McKegg is up with the team now, and Chytil will be coming off IR soon and hopefully ready by Tuesday. McKegg will be the 13F and Gauthier will probably stay at 3RW

Gauthier has been good. If he's doing enough defensively, his size and speed and pretty okay skills certainly helps the 3rd line possess better in the O zone.

If anything that made us even. Subban tears Blais’ ACL, Kakko bulldozes Blackwood and knocks him out the game lol

Florida Panthers best team in the league right?

theyre 2 pts better than us and we knocked them off for their first loss
We're going to be good but we're not Florida good yet. Not sure who is saying Florida is best but they are up there.

For sure the Hamilton goal was the GW in my mind, with Georgiev already committed and the puck arcing over him like a Jose Reyes check swing fly ball
