To me it's Copp or Smith. Garland or JTM will cost significantly more and I don't see Vancouver retaining on either. If they do, then that makes the price even higher. Smith should be a reasonable price as a pure rental. Copp will cost significantly less than JTM and could possibly be a guy we can re-sign.

Garland just doesn't make any sense to me at all. He's a winger signed for several more years. Adding him means not adding a center.

I love Schneider, he's been such a huge bright spot on this team. I also think he could use a game here or there and he's slipped a bit. That could 100% be Nemeth's influence, but he's a young guy playing at a level we didn't think he'd be at right now. It's ok to give him a game or two off. Also ok: Playing him with Braun and sitting Nemeth.

Braun is a nice safety option.

Alright, a bit of an exaggeration. Though I don't like the impact on the young defenseman that have been playing their butt's off (good or bad) to get the team into the position they're in. I understand it from an organizational viewpoint, but what a bummer for the guys that have been here working hard all year... We'll see how it pans out, I guess...
