He was so bad for Colorado his last run there that fans wanted to play w 5 d.

Nemeth was literally supposed to babysit Lundkvist this season. Everyone says they're two years ahead of schedule. Two years from now, Nemeth is an upcoming UFA.

Hopefully they can move Nemeth this summer. He's here for now, just get a LHD to play over him as well.

Good move. Schneider shows a ton of promise but he and Nemeth together are a train wreck. Try replacing each with Braun and see if that pairing gets better.

The other thing to consider here is Schneider going down the AHL and getting BIG minutes may be the best for his development

Holy hell Nemeth-Schneider is horrific

Yea, awful. Schneider should play now. Let him get 15-20 games before the playoffs. Play him with Braun in some. Play him with Nemeth in some. Play Nemeth/Braun (or mix in Jones but we know he won't be in the playoffs so why bother). See what works best. If Schneider's performance isn't better he doesn't have to play in the playoffs. That's not the time for development.

He's excellent defensively. Good defensive play nets you decent box stats by accident.

The Braun trade is going to be the only trade of the day for NYR. Book it.

If they come out of the trade deadline with Vatrano and Braun, while not overpaying hugely for anything else, I would considered that a solid deadline. I do wish they do some retaining this year on someone's contract, but they probably got Vatrano for a bit cheaper because they would take the entire contract. Sometimes the best deals are the ones you don't make.

I guess they had to make a depth d move (can't rely on Hajek or Tinordi and the coach is not gonna play Jones or Nils in the playoffs).
Having Braun over a Hajek or Tinordi is really a big difference.

Florida needed to shed salary and didn't have a whole lot of leverage. Philly did not need to shed salary and had some leverage.
