Davidson's Performance Evaluation Thread (read OP)

  • If you are having issues logging in, we have found opening the log in page in a new tab/window rather than using the pop out should resolve these issues. We are working to get this resolved and thank you for patience.
  • Due to the increased volume of league transactions, the Trade Rumors and Free Agent Talk section is temporarily restricted to where threads may only be started by moderators and sponsors. We anticipate that this restriction will be lifted some time after the first round of the draft.
Hawks overpaid for a 25yo who they feel can be a top pairing guy for them for the next decade.

They didn't trade away Bedard, Frondell, Nazar, and Levshunov in that deal. Those guys are being saved for the Knies trade.

Main boards need to chill out. And I was actively cussing out our GM on a message board last night.

Lot of confidence in there the Chicago rebuild is cooked...SJ is just using Orlov and Klingberg to develop their D prospects btw

It really is hilarious to me how everything the Hawks do gets critiqued to death, meanwhile it seems like those same people have blinders on to how atrocious the Sharks' defensive core/pipeline is.

Mainly cuz of the Hawks dominance in the Kane/Toews era while the Sharks came oh so close. Any neutral fan across the league is gonna be biased and in favor of SJ.

Like others have said its just disheartening and exhausting to keep having the same roundabout conversations after our GM decides to do something unconventional/risky.

- Lev over Demidov
- playing Korchinski in the NHL way too early
- giving up value to trade up in the 2024 draft before even knowing what players were going to fall
- This trade

Even smaller things like Boisvert in general, somehow not finding a skill winger for Bedard in 3 first rounds since 2023, not getting anything at the TDL for Donato when Beauvillier went for a 2nd, missing out on small, low risk deals for players like Zegras/Chinakov/Samoskevich

KD has his own vision and he's way too reckless and tunnel visioned in his pursuit of it. He overvalues his own prospects. He made comments last year that "you can't win with players like Ehlers and Marner". The arrogance is just unearned and unproven, and I think its possible he's just going to keep bleeding assets and value everywhere until its too late
Almost nothing here is unconventional or risky. . . How is that your view of these.
