Yes. We want BOTH teams to lose. IF only 1 team win, Kloten has to play against Ajoie. So, if Visp and Olten both lose their series, does that mean EHC kloten don't play the relegation series against Ajoie?
Shit...Olten ties it. 19 minutes to go.
- Visp lose 3-1. Are down 3-0 in their series.
- Olten lose 5-3. Are down 2-1 in their series.
Reinbacher will be on his way.
Again, my understanding is that that's more of a possibility than a certainty. It's yet to be determined.
It's a certainty that he's coming. What is left to be determined is when.
Next season? Yes. This season? Possible but not a certainty by any means. Plans will be made when Kloten's season is over. Him having other commitments in Switzerland and the option to play for Austria are the reasons why Reinbacher may or may not fly to Canada ahead of summer. We'll see.
This is why I said that if Visp and Olten lose their semi-final series, Reinbacher will come over. Because he has no other commitment in Switzerland if both those teams lose. And in a best case scenario, he will be available to fly over on Monday.
The only commitment he has in Switzerland now is practicing while being on standby to see what happens with Visp and Olten.
That is untrue. He's got classes until around ~ the end of June and he's got a 50% job (internship) until ~ the end of July. He'll have to write exams as well. While there are remote options for his job and classes, I don't think there are for the exams. And even if, him having those commitments certainly complicates things. That is tough to do when you're in a different time zone and expected to learn a new system, get used to new coaches, new teammates. Under these circumstances it's unclear if it even makes sense to go there. Like I said, it will be determined once Kloten's season is over.
Again. That's not what I'm hearing and I don't think these plans exist. Plan is gonna be made once Kloten's season is over. And again, it would be very difficult for the player to get used to a new team with new coaches, new players and a new system all while having these commitments. I'm not sure he'd be much more for Laval than just another body. All of this will no doubt factor into the decision re whether it makes sense for him to Canada ahead of the summer or not. He's coming over once his commitments with Kloten are over.
Talk to those covering Montreal who have direct knowledge that the Habs will bring him over as soon as he no longer needs to be with Kloten. And the plan is to bring him over to play in Laval. Even Thibaud Chatel, who covers the NL said that he'd be on his way over as soon as his year with Kloten is officially over.
Only way his arrival comes next year is if Kloten has to play Ajoie and that series goes to 7 games. And then if they need to play one of Olten or Visp and that series goes to 7 games. Then by the time all that is done, his arrival will likely be pushed to next year.
Again. That's not what I'm hearing and I don't think these plans exist. Plan is gonna be made once Kloten's season is over. And again, it would be very difficult for the player to get used to a new team with new coaches, new players and a new system all while having these commitments. So if both those teams lost there's no relegation round for Reinbacher ?Visp looses. Now down 3-0 in their series. Olten also loses, now down 2-1 in their series. Almost there for Reinbacher to come over to NA
We're going in circles here.
I'll trust those who have knowledge that the plan is to bring him over once everything is officially done with Kloten.
Like I said. Don't get your hopes up. You're free to believe whatever you want but from what I understand, if Reinbacher does board a flight to Canada ahead of summer at all, it would be most likely more for the experience than anything else. He just has too much on his plate, especially with the possibility to play for Austria as well.
I don't see any reason for the "big rush" to get him over here. He'll either be very good . . . or not. A month in the AHL not is not going to make a difference big picture.
So if both those teams lost there's no relegation round for Reinbacher ?
I've noticed you talking about stress and difficulty adjusting...Again. That's not what I'm hearing and I don't think these plans exist. Plan is gonna be made once Kloten's season is over. And again, it would be very difficult for the player to get used to a new team with new coaches, new players and a new system all while having these commitments.
