Prospect Info: David Reinbacher - Laval Rocket edition

Look it up yourself like I did. It is easy to find, and many people mentioned it in this thread. He came to camp with knee braces, and he just had surgery on a knee. It's concerning no matter how you look at it. I hope he makes a full recovery and is a mainstay on our D like everyone else.

I did it look it up and I didn't find any source for it other than people in this thread - you- talking about.

So I ask - again - what is your source for Reinbacher arriving at camp with braces on both knees and how does that somehow prove he has a chronic injury issue?

do you even know what Osgood-Schlatter is? it's absolutely nothing. it probably bothered him when he was 17. you're talking about it like he's got ALS.

To cite Osgood-Schlatter Disease as some kind of evidence that Reinbacher is chronically injured is absurd and shows a fundamental lack of understanding of what O-SD even is.

It's all the evidence I need that he doesn't have the faintest idea what he's talking about.

It's funny how he claims "When I'm wrong, I admit it" and then there's post after post after post of him doubling down on his nonsense and refusing to admit he's wrong.

OK, go ahead and ignore the knee braces and the knee surgery. I am sure comparing yourself with an elite sports athlete is a great example.

Shall we give you a moment to finish moving the goalposts?

Now you have someone who actually has O-SD telling you that you don't know what you're talking about... so now that is no longer the evidence of his chronic injury or are you sticking with it, because apparently he can't compare himself to someone else that has it because the other person is a professional athlete. Please clarify.

Now the evidence for the chronic injury is that he showed up at camp wearing two knee braces? Is that your new theory?

Still waiting on the answer for why a player who just had knee surgery arriving at camp with a knee brace is proof of a "chronic injury." Please explain.

I don't need to prove anything, especially to some guy on a message board. It is my opinion. Take it or leave it. Why is my opinion so important to you?

So it's your opinion that he showed up at training camp wearing two knee braces, not any kind of fact?

It's your opinion that a player with knee braces on has a chronic injury?

It's your opinion that having O-SD is evidence of a chronic injury?

And you freely admit, or refuse to share, that you have no reason at all to believe these things indicate a chronic injury, you just believe it to be true.

And to clarify, you're the guy that "admits when he's wrong," right?

My opinion that a player with a knee disease, whether minor or not, that came to camp with knee braces and just had a knee injury that required knee surgery are signs of a chronic issue or at the very least, are concerning. I have the same info as everyone else, and my opinion can be right or wrong, but at this point, I am not going to concede anything other than I was a bit too passionate previously. I can ask you for proof to the contrary, but I know no one has any proof. This is a message board where people can have opinions. This isn't a court of law, and I think you are taking things a bit too seriously. You think I don't know what I am talking about, so why continue to discuss with me. Why so butthurt over a random poster's opinion. Just call me an idiot and move on. It's no skin off my back.

Dude... do you know why people with OSD wear a knee brace? It is simply to reduce the pain, it is not because the knee is unstable, or other structural reason. It's a bit like people wearing a wrist band when playing tennis to reduce impacts.

OSD can be painful when growing up, but it has nothing to do with his knee injury he got at TC.

So now, if there is no concrete proof to the contrary of a hypothesis, it becomes irrefutable fact? Welcome to them Internets and social media everyone!

Can someone tell me how I can avoid this new knee disease?

Asking for a friend.

Also,

Is anyone else excited about next year? RB and Demidov joining the club along with Beck and maybe some others? Gonna be a fun year!
I'll start to be excited when it'll be clear KH does not resign everyone. Armia and Dvorak have a good season but i've been done with them for a while now. It's like i dunno you eated i full bag of ketchup chip when you were 8 in the 80ies and then watched a fredy movie and then vomited the entired bag in your bed after the movie. Then i mean ketchup chip might be fine but you'll be done with them for the rest of your life. That's how i feel about Dvorak and Armia and it doesn't matter how well they play i'm done.

pretty good, there wasn't a lot happening in the game so the vid I made is mostly of Reinbacher's shifts,

Great progression since the draft from Reinbacher.

His offensive tools impressive me very much, he is going to be a very good two-way defenseman.

If he can be even more meaner, that will be very perfect.

He looks like a perfect #2 defenseman in a great team, he can do everything on ice.
More I watch from him, more I believe that Hutson - Reinbacher pair will be a pretty good one. He exactly what Hutson need and that's potentially to become a great 1st pair.

Having Guhle on 2nd pair, that's a such a great defensive core.

So much talent on the left and not enough on the right. Reinbacher will be most welcome next year. Carrière is solid there and we need one more.

Speaking of re-signing… where does that put people like Matheson and Struble? It’s an interesting case because Reinbacher is very likely making this team at some point next year, if not straight out of camp.

Hughes did say to Frank that they have to be careful not to introduce too much youth into the lineup. I wouldn't be shocked if Beck had another partial season in the AHL especially since Kapanen last was ahead of him.

That's gotta be it though, those 3 and whatever happens during the year.
