I hope Perron can come back soon and re-write the narrative on this signing.

His underlying numbers are actually some of the best on the team

xGF% 61.06
SCF% 58.21
HDCF% 60.87

He's lost a step to be sure, but I'd rather him in the top 6 over Greig, or Amadio.
he lost a step last year and was a PP merchant. He won't get that kind of PP time here.

Will be interesting to see how he fits

any news on his injury?

I hope Perron gets healthy and his baby is OK, but I’d wonder how much of a boost he will really be. Hopefully, my suspicions are not warranted and he’ll be a bigger contributor.

Carolina game where they also gave Norris (or was it Batherson) 2 for slashing the ice

Having some faster guys might help off the rush, but Giroux and Perron are smart players that know how to find the seams and get open. I don't think they'd have any issues
It was pinto for the slash

Well cousins on the third line has legit been very good. Better than what Perron has shown. At this point he’s on the fourth line

I was surprised to see Cousins be adequate on the 3rd line but hey if it works keep it going. I do think Perron would push him down to the 4th just to get him going but no harm in having Perron ease his way back starting on the 4th. He can't be worse than Greig at this point but also wouldn't be opposed to seeing Amadio pushed out of the top 9.

If he can help hold on to pucks and be good defensively, I would love to try him with Giroux and Stutzle. I hope the speed of the two journeymen doesn't slow down Stutzle though.

I know he didn’t produce or even play much but I remember him in many games where the team looked horrible and he was actually one of the obly guys making plays.

He’s better than people give him credit for because of the comircumstances. He understands the game and he slows things down and makes the right plays very often. His footspeed is an issue but after a few games coming back I expect him to bring some value out there. He thinks the game and he has a good shot and often in the right places.

He would bring some much needed offensive flair in the bottom 6.

I think Stutzle needs a winger with some speed that can play at a faster pace. But, I haven’t seen enough of Perron’s recent play to have a strong opinion one way or another.

Better than a condescending legend.
Should review your posts from yesterday and ask the op if they would consider it condescending... practice what you preach. I would say you are learning but there is no evidence.
I am rarely condescending although sometimes I am ... there just doesn't seem to be a better way to converse with you and your lame posts

I read from the last post forward to the end, like most people who read a book.
Don’t read the threads last to first 🤣

Sure, but you're not supposed to reply until you read the whole thing.

It's like writing a book report before you get to the end.

If someone else says the same thing as you were planning, give them a like or quote them and say that you agree.

He’s going to come back and after a short adjustment period, will solidify the 3rd line and provide depth for special teams, allow them to slot better players on the 4th line. I have faith that he’s still able to make positive impact with his game.

I agree that a fast winger who can shoot and play with Stutzle is needed; I don't think Perron is that winger as he is too slow. Amadio is also slow.

Gaudette has proven to be a shooter in the AHL and done well so far in the nHL, so he can play there now and I hope he thrives at it.

Trading Jospeh and a 3rd round pick for "nothing" but open cap space has not been a very good decision.
