Imagine his numbers with a stud centre.Draisaitl has 48 goals and you can bet lots of those came from McDavid setups.

Yep. I also said earlier in the season when he was playing a little more aloof that if he added a drive into his game he’d be the best player in the league. Hes been that since the new year and the last few games has even increased that drive. Very impressed that he didn’t sulk and is trying to take reigns and be more assertive. Gives me hope for the future because I always been on him for his lack of leadership, but maybe he was just trying to be the good solder, but now is the de facto captain since of his bruins tenure and is stepping up.
It’s going to take time to find him a good center. Milly would like to see try it. He definitely has very good subtle passes I think will benefit Pasta. Zacha while not playing bad, seems to be benefiting from Geekie and Pasta rather than a driver of it.

At this point there is only one player in this league that I’d consider trading Pastrnak for. He’s just a great player and so much fun to watch.
I don't know if he "wants" it but IMO he is clearly the leader of this team and other than Brad has been for quite a while.

The growth in Pasta as a player and a leader has been wonderful to watch. He's really coming into his own now.

The only reason its not 8 straight seasons is the short COVID season
2018: 35
2019: 38
2020: 48
2021: 20 (in 48 games)
2022: 40
2023: 61
2024: 47
2025: 35
I might be off base here, but when he first came here Chara, Krecji, Bergeron, Marchand, were already here but other than McAvoy is the only young effective player that has been added, I am sure I missed some one, the adds have not been overwhelming am I wrong.

This guy has never been better than he is today - since I was rooting for the tank I found myself petrified every time Pastrnak was out there after 4-3 (he scored) like he was vintage but more physical version of Guy Lafleur
And to think there were some who wanted to trade him. The guy is arguably one of the top 5 players in the league (i.e. the world). Bruins are beyond lucky to have him.
...and he is such a good kid. Watching him turn into a leader has been fun.
We have loved this kid from the first day he stepped on Boston ice. I love his positive energy.
After Brad. IMO it is so clear that Pasta is the leader and face of the Bs.
I love how he gives the other players credit and inspires them. When they have a good game or shift, he makes a point of letting them know he sees it.....even if it doesn't show on the scoreboard. Confidence is so important...especially for the young guys.
I have heard some talk that Brad may indeed return. I thought he wouldn't but don't know.
Bs need more leadership than just Pasta.
It is unreal that since Brad left, they can't find at least one more player to sew an "A" on (other than Pasta).
I think they don't want to commit to handing out letters because this roster is going to turned over quite a bit at least it should be. With McAvoy back that should help in the leadership role, and never know a Foligno type could be added, to give some veteran presence not that he needs a letter.
