Player Discussion David Pastrnak

It's pretty clear a lot of his earlier struggles (if still being PPG is considered struggling) was from the fact he had to essentially revamp his game.

He was always the triggerman, and while his passing was always underrated, he was so clearly not used to having to do everything offensively rather than having somebody to work off of. All that overthinking essentially disappeared and now he's the guy people are working off of. Geekie especially.

While I think the Hart trophy is a bit unrealistic (look at the monster seasons Drai, MacKinnion and shit even Hellebuyck are having) I am glad the people on this board aren't running the team because he would have been traded by the end of November.

There is more than one fool

I don't get it. I guess maybe in the 70s Pasta would have been moved like Janney? He is never going to win any defensive awards, and he isn't the greatest backchecker, and tries too many high risk plays BUT the guy is pure magic with the puck. I am glad they locked him up long term because he is the type of player that never would have been a Bruin years ago and we'd wonder why we couldn't have anything nice.
