I'm not sure if it's sarcasm, it looks like it isn't, so I wanted to share this with you guys. On The Hockey News, there's an article on how Pastrnak was a draft steal at 25th for the Bruins: http://www.thehockeynews.com/news/a...-pastrnak-looking-like-a-steal-for-the-bruins
This is what a guy from Montreal commented:

if the Bruins stole this player, why hasn't anyone done anything??? Shouldn't there be a lawsuit against the Boston Bruins!? I knew this team was doing fishy things behind the NHL's back just like the year where Chara hit Patches.... i can't believe Gary Batman doesn't do anything! And why doesn't Jared talk about how the Bruins stole this player?? So much missing information, this is terrible journalism, Jared should be fired (Jared is the guy writing the article)

(PS: note the Gary "Batman")

It's definitely sarcasm. Poorly concealed, too.

 believe it was sarcasm. Not well done, but he gave it a shot!

If not, let's all say a prayer for Etienne tonight!!!:laugh:

I for one think the guy is totally serious. We are talking about a fanbase that brought the 911 system to its knees over a hockey hit and burned cars over a round one win. There is no doubt in my mind that that type of over-the-top hockey-is-a-religion mentality coupled with a language gap could lead one to believe the Bruins actually stole a player. I've read far crazier things than that right here on HF.

And think about it; there are still a large contingent of people (not to mention newscasters) thinking Spygate was all about taping a walk-through.

That line may be the best in hockey

This kid is a likely super star

Marchand is Word Class

Bergeron perfect guy for these em two

Phenomenal line

Right on. Shame that the Krejci line is very meh and that we seem to be playing with two fourth lines (and the 4th line is regularly better than the third...).

The guy is money, a shining light on this Bruins squad.

Was very tentative about getting excited about him up until this season, was curious as to why so many were so high on him. Now I know, those that were high on him nailed it, well done.

Are we gonna sign this kid or what

He isn't going anywhere as an RFA for several more years unless someone tries to offer sheet him for an insane amount of draft picks. This isnt like Marchand who was going to be a UFA at the end of the season if he didn't get resigned.

Claude would be soiling himself behind the bench if Pasta played this way when he was coaching

Difference is, if Claude was coaching, Pasta would never have scored his goal cos he'd have been benched. You gotta take the good with the bad when someone is as creative and attacking as Pasta, he had a rough game today, but the GWG made up for all of it.

Pasta was fighting the puck the whole game until he scored. He was just getting the kinks out and will score two against the Habs .:yo:

What a game Pasta played. His skill level is obvious but his intensity was evident on every shift . He looked like a superstar tonight !

one of the most dominant games I've seen a Bruin forward play in ages (offensively anyway). He was just all over the ice and looked like a top 10 player in the world.

Pasta to me is more electric as a Bruin than Seguin ever was. Haven't watched Seguin much in Dallas, but I'd be surprised to learn that he's regularly as dominant as Pasta was last night. Different players, really, but Pasta is just such a monster. Honestly has a lot more Ovechkin in his game than I ever imagined.

I thought watching Seguin evolve as a player was intriguing as hell. Sammy was just electric with the puck on his stick and always made things happen.

But you may be right. Pasta is pure joy. And right from day one.

Samsonov was my favorite to watch too. The GAS line is still my favorite of all time.

But yes Pastrnak is special. What a talent.

I'll always prefer players like Bergeron that you can pick up on so many different intricacies to their game even when they don't have the puck, but as far as pure offensive talent/entertainment goes, I think Pastrnak is at the top for me for Bruins that I've seen in my lifetime. Samsonov and Seguin are the other two that come to mind. Marchand is also getting there in the last couple years. He's playing with pure confidence and is not afraid to fail.

Pasta is unique though. He has such a complete and explosive offensive skillset (skating, shot, hands), but combines it with creativity and work ethic. He just goes full throttle the whole time and can pull off some crazy moves at top speed with his elite hands.

I think his defensive game has made leaps and bounds, when the puck is coming he is always finding the right man to cover and a few times, including last game on the pp he was coming back as a dman going straight to the net.

He also actually likes to hit. Not usually devastating but we have seen he can jam. He's no blake wheeler or landeskog but is closer to them than kessel or kane physically.

The hands he has, wow, seguin was a solid player, great passing, great shot, great speed. Hes fairly straight-forward rather than flashy. But pasta can dangle, the outright speed, precision and accuracy is amazing. Grabbing that pass going between the legs at full speed is legitimate elite.

Him and Cehlarik look like twins out there, instantly forming an amazing line, its strange when the entire line are amazing passers, and so creative.
