Was just thinking today how surprised I am not only with his offensive output, but he is tied for third in the league in +/- and only by 1! I know, your going to say "Well was with Bergy/Marchy for most of season!" They are both +8's while his is +17.

Sure is nice to also see him take a good defensive step this year with the strength and battles.

That is fine, but every player gets lucky bounces, it is part of the game. If Pasta is capitalizing on those lucky bounces, that separates him from the rest of the team that is failing to capitalize on the lucky bounces that they get.

Not liking the amount of high contact coming his way - he did reach a few times that put himself in vulnerable position but every flipping game I find myself cringing at a hit he took

Fun facts tho:

Bergeron has assisted on 2 of Pastrnak's goals
Marchand has assisted on 10 of Pastrnak's goals
Bergeron has assisted on 1 of Marchand's goals

Obviously Bergeron is having a tough offensive year and only has 5 total assists. But it was striking to see those numbers. He was playing with 88 and 63 who are killing it so it makes you scratch your head as to how he's still struggling offensively. Heal up Bergy! I hope you're hurt so that way there is an excuse. Back to Pasta talk though. Got sidetracked!

Pasta has taken a few head shots the last few games, glad Backes went after Letang. Somone needed to show Emelin it us not accetable to run our star.

We saw Chara do it earlier this year against the Leafs when Martin took a late run at a Bruin.

Then McQuaid did it against the Panthers when someone took a late run as well..

It's disgusting and show the real spirit of this team, every players of this team should atack with desire of killing everybody who give pasta cheap shot. Emelin game last week gave us perfect exemple that this team don't care and everybody play for his money...emelin should finished the game at hospital but nobody care.....

There was nothing wrong with that hit on Pasta- besides Shaw is out with concussion symptoms from Krug's answer a few seconds later.

Now if you want to look at his hit on Marchand. . . that's grade A horse **** that the league should have handled. Everyone and their mother knows Emelin isn't fighting, no use in getting worked up over it.

What? Emelins hit on Pasta was clean. His hit on Marchand was not though and if Marchand would have done that to anyone he would have a 10 game suspension.

Letang took that cheap shot at Pasta(they called it interference) and Backes crushed him with a clean hit, knocking him out of the pens lineup for a couple of weeks. Maybe you should watch the games
before running your mouth.

.The Emelin hit bothered me cause I watch him play alot and he always targets the skilled players and sometimes he is dirty about it.(Seguin) .It was clean though on Pastrnak.
