He's been excellent defensively too, and has the highest sv pct on the team among forwards (just passed Heinen).

He's also been very strong at even strength, and has the best PDO* on the team. *PDO is even strength sv pct when he's on the ice PLUS even strength shooting pct (of all players) when he's on the ice.

He has been very good, but a 115+ PDO isn't even remotely sustainable. A few Bruins are running high and can expect some regression back down towards 100.

PDO is more of an indication of luck than anything else.

he’s been a team guy since day 1. Look at his “kessel contract.” Wasn’t he making something like 3.5 for 3 years and then Phil went to Toronto? Reporters asked DK about it and all he would say was that he loves Boston and 3.5 million is a lot of money.

He signed that contract and I believe said “I could have never imagined making this much money”.

Hearing that kind of humbleness out of a professional athlete is rare and pretty touching as a fan.

17 points in 18 games now. If he stays with Marchand and Pastrnak he’ll be a point per game player, hopefully he gets that chance. Krejci is awesome.

Hell baby
If he spends his entire career here does he get his number retired?

Led the playoffs in scoring twice- including the year we got a cup. Has been a high-level player for over a decade. I think most people will lean “no” But it’s interesting and I think there’s a case that can be made for him

With Chara, Bergeron and Marchand, I'm not sure if Krejci'd get his number retired or not. A case could be made, but i'm not sure.

Bergy and Chara definitely get theirs done I think. If Marchand or Pasta keep scoring the way they have, I think Krejci will kinda be passed over. Which is unfortunate, but I wouldn't be surprised

Assuming he finishes up his Bruin career after next year, he projects as finishing with the following totals all-time Bruins.

GP - 7th

Goals - 12th

Assists - 6th

Points - 8th

I think he eventually gets his number retired, but they'll spread them out and other guys (Bergeron, Chara) will likely go up ahead of him.

He's almost point per game player again without being a regular on the 1st PP unit and carrying Brett Ritchie's corpse for most of the season. Imagine if he had someone like Taylor Hall to play with. Guy is playing some of the best hockey of his career and it's going to waste if he has to play with AHL tweeners during post-season.

He'll get his number retired (and deservedly so) but it won't be immediate like 33 and 37

I'm not sure. He probably deserves it, but he's had both the blessing and curse of playing his entire career with Bergeron. In the majority of teams he'd have been the undisputed 1C for a long time and would receive more praise and attention. But with the brilliance of Bergy, and the good fortune of the Bruins to have two elite centers play with each other for so long, he's been a little in the shadows and his still-impressive stats aren't quite as high as they might have been.

His last 15 months have been the most impressive of all - sorted out his hip and found his best form again, improved his shooting, and found ways to consistently produce points despite often playing with a good but still young and inconsistent LW and a revolving door on the right. His ongoing importance to the team can scarcely be overestimated.

He's been outstanding since the start of last season. Would Bergeron have scored 73 points last season playing with Krejci's linemates? I'm not so sure.

I mean they're the best line in hockey so I can't blame him

But anyone think Pasta been giving Krejci some pointers on his one timer?
You know, I always felt that was one thing that really made Krejci ineffectual on the power play in the earlier part of his career. Once he would get the puck on the side, the defence knew he would hold it, 'slow it down', and pass it. Him shooting the puck from that side from time to time makes him more of a threat.

bergeron has horrible hands and a horrible shot. but the guy is so smart. if he actually had good hands and a shot he would be the best player in the league.
with krejci linemates bergy prob gets similar to coyle numbers
