KC financially probably doesn't work but people outright saying, "Never would happen anyway" because of nonsense "Division Rival" is dumb

The idea of not making trade within division when you're a team that will miss playoffs that could better help your future (Get picks) is so asinine

But the Chiefs picks would be end of round shit since they're going to AFC Conference final at the very least, surely there would be better offers out there.

Looking at the clubs who would be interested, all likely to be Division winners, save for the Jets (depends on their H2H with Buffalo). So, any of them would be from pick 55 onwards most likely.

This isn't Claypool with pick #33 (ultimately #32 due to the Miami forfeiting for Brady tampering). No team with a likely pick that is 40-45 is going to trade for Adams. Would not make any sense.

Again, salary cap for this season can be manipulated with either a conversion of base salary to bonus and/or with LV retaining on Adams to lower the cap charge for the remainder of this season. As for future years, well, that's up to Adams and the new team to figure out how to give him his money over the next 2 years at a reasonable cap number. Likely to push dead cap into 2027 to achieve that.

Seems like Adams prefers to play with a QB he's played with before it seems like Jets and Saints would be the favorites.

Do three way trades happen in the NFL?

Would be funny to see him traded for a pick and then that team trades him to KC for a better pick
can’t recall a 3 way deal. NFL deals are almost never top player to roster players. Typically it’s draft picks in return. It’s not nhl/nba/mlb.

Only way a team flips Adams is if they are willing to absorb most of his base salary for 2024 which is $900k plus per week. Whereas LV prefer to be able to slide the cap savings from 2024 after dealing Adams to 2025 to spend on players.

But that’s not likely.

Honest question, and I'm not trying to disparaging.

Is the Raiders owner all the way there mentally?

No sane person willingly rocks that haircut in public. He has few screws loose for sure.

Wonder if the Bills can get involved here.
They have the extra 2nd from Houston in the Diggs trade. So, they have the asset that the Raiders covet in return. Buffalo would need to work around the cap charge I would imagine. But, if that can be worked out either with Buffalo restructuring their own guys to push some cap to 2025 and/or LV adjusting or eating a part of Adams deal, they could make it work.
Just depends if Adams wants to go to Buffalo or whether he wants to go play with ARod or Carr.

And whether he wants to be with that team he's traded to for the next season or two or whether he is thinking, I'm a rental this year and the team will cut me to avoid the $36 mill I'm due for 2025. Which is also not guaranteed. Or he wants to be signed with guaranteed money for 2025.

Honest question, and I'm not trying to disparaging.

I don't think he is that way, but he's clearly incompetent. Can't hire a good front office. Thus constant change in management. Of the $32 mill in dead cap for 2024, $19 mill comes from the 1 year of service they got from Jones, Jimmy, and Hoyer from the prior regime. Every team kicks cap charges down the line, but you want to get a couple of years of service out of the player, not be one and done like that.

Fields seems to be on the lower end of the teams that are interested.

I’m sure there will be a few serious offers coming, depending on how the 2 clubs figure out his cap situation for the rest of this season.

Again, Adams won’t make $36 mill next season. WR market has gone up but he’s also going to be 32 in Xmas and for non QBs the highest paid guys are the ones coming off their rookie deals. Adams would be going into his 4th contract. So he can’t expect top dollar as his position depends on raw athleticism which unlike OL is harder to maintain at an elite level.

Does he also expect to get that resolved as he enters the building of the new club? Or can that be an off season discussion?

I’m so sick of my raiders. Davis needs to just bury himself in a trailer park in the south and hang out with a bunch of stoners in their twenties who still live at home in the trailer and just vibe with people on his level mentally. Bring his 26 year old gf, lots of helmets and pizza pops, and loads of money from selling the team and get lost.
The dude just sucks at what he does and is ruining this team year in year out.

Antonio Pierce is a clown. McDaniels was a clown and these are good coaches in his eyes. Brutal. Gruden was good but that got ruined by Goodall. Just give the team to Brady and let him make raider football great again. This is pathetic. Davis is a born loser living off his dads successes.
Sick of it.

Just a matter of time before Crosby wants out too. Guys don’t wanna sign here to lose.

Adams came here to play for gruden and with Carr. I don’t blame him, he lost those both and had mcdummy and the baboon as coaches and garbage QBs.

Aidan O’Connell?!?! Dude literally moves slower than a sloth and looks like his parents may be related.
Jimmy g?! Do I even have to explain?

Minshew is decent but not gonna take us ti the promised land. But again, all leads back to Davis ruining the team. SMH, rant over lol

Division rivalries run pretty deep I the AFC West and everyone hates the Raiders. I doubt Bowl Cut wants the embarrassment of helping out the Chefs to another title.

since Al died in 2011, Mark has hired McKenzie, Gruden/Mayock, Ziegler and now Tedesco as GM. McKenzie had 1 winning season then dropped the following season and both he was fired after a year with Gruden. Gruden, his time had passed. Away from the game too long. Even in his first stint he was much better coaching vets than youngsters. Not what the Raiders needed. Then he insanely hires Josh McDaniels and brings in his guy in Zeigler. Now to Tedesco and Pierce.

Every change over in regime always means a bunch of dead cap as players come and go who don't fit into new regime (and the prior regime adjusted cap charges to lessen initial impact to ride out dead cap from prior regime). $19 mill in dead cap for Jones, Jimmy, Hoyer this season. Jimmy's dead cap goes to $12.8 mill in 2025. Adams would be $15.7 mill once dealt for 2025.

Raiders need some stability and need to really find their version of Les Snead, Brett Veatch, Billie Beane, etc. who can build up a roster.

Breer does add that Adams has shown some interest in the Saints and Bills too but the cap complications are tough.
Like the nhl, nfl teams can retain salary in a trade. And clubs can restructure contracts for the current players to convert base salary into a bonus to make cap room for this season.

But really for Adams, he’d hit the ground running the most with the jets and ARod and then with Carr in NO. WR and WB depend on timing so he would be limited in his routes due to timing with QB anywhere else.

The lack of stability is irrelevant to me since Davis keeps making bad hires. Mackenzie ran six drafts for them so plenty of stability there, he just sucked at his job. Davis was very committed to Gruden hence the 10 year deal but Goodall put an end to that which was a good thing for the Raiders considering they were never going to win anything with Gruden/Mayock. They weren't ever going to win anything with Ziegler/McDaniel's either. Why they were ever hired in the first place is the baffling part. Davis is most definitely an idiot but stability is only necessary if he actually makes a good hire. I doubt Telesco works out either considering he already spent 10 years running the Chargers and didn't even win a playoff game.
