Former Bruins Danton Heinen

Definitely different player

I never understood ‘having your cake and eat it too’ but I do get ‘he’s comfortable in his own skin’ and that’s Danton Heinen

He’s comfortable and he has his college coach - he’s a solid third line player nothing wrong with that

He has been excellent and was rewarded tonight with a hatty! Pasta was so happy for him (as were all of the Bs and guys who work for them).

I believe he will be making more $$$ next season.
He makes more money next year, good for him but it should not be here.

He’s pacing for his best season since skating with Bergy and Marchand after being dismissed by most of the NHL.

He’ll never be my favourite player, but he’s improved a lot since his initial run in Boston. Engaged, disruptive and a genuine compliment to whatever line he’s skated on.

Dare I suggest that he’s earned another contract? Are we there yet?

I take him back in a heartbeat for the right price...I place a lot of value in a guy like Heinen who can play either wing up and down the lineup.

Or earned the 7th player award?

As in just like Craig Smith when he gets on a hot streak you have people in here wanting to give him a 4yr deal? Like some first rate Top 6 player. Come on, hasn’t anymore learned a thing. Look at his career up until this point. While he is playing well this season and possibly has figured out he needs consistency after almost being out of the league, it’s still not over and you need to see what he looks like in the playoffs before signing any deals. He is known to check out during the tough season. Not sure you want to tie up bigger money if he disappears there.

Be cautiously happy for him, but you have to see the whole picture of his career and whether if he gets a multi year deal does his consistency go back to what it was before this season when he feels more safe. So to me it’s still a wait and see with him even though he has shown better consistency this season to this point.

Who said anything about a four year deal? A “first rate top six player”?

You’re only arguing with your own imagination.

Go look a few posts up, saying to lock him up four year deal while he is in his prime. So instead of trying to be a smart a&& try looking first.

Really?

Like who?
Few posts up sure you can find it if you actually try

Perhaps you should have responded to THAT poster then, instead of painting it like it’s some kind of common sentiment.

Also where did anyone say he was a “first rate top six player”?

But I’m the smartass…
