If Greenway's out to start the season it's pretty likely that Beckman will plug that hole, especially if he has another good camp. Whether or not he sticks around... much harder to say.
I will bet money on Beckman not filling that role

how much we talking?
I'd be willing to bet $100

I want to define what we mean by "taking the place of Greenway" - does this specifically mean taking his spot on that line? If so, Yes, I will take that bet and even extend it to him making the team for extended time in the upcoming season.

I think the bet would be on him taking Greenways spot if he is injured to start the year, beyond that most would assume he gets sent back down to continue growing his game.

Was just being clear on what stipulations I would be comfortable with when betting.

@Minnewildsota @DeagleJenkins
Just to be clear, "taking Greenways spot" means playing in his exact spot on his exact line, right? Like, until he's healthy. Or do you just mean "making the team until Greenway is healthy", but in another spot in the lineup?

I don't like betting money, but who doesn't love arbitrating?

Well if both Beckman and Rossi can make the jump, this season might not be as bad as I’m anticipating.
Well, I've already given my opinion on Beckman being a NHL'er this year, but at least he has a top 9 skillset.

I feel like Duhaime would have the inside track to Greenway's spot while he is out.
I feel like that's a natural fit, also. Duhaime isn't as big, long, or heavy as Greenway, but he's pretty solid. He's a faster skater than Greenway, and has a better shot...maybe not as good of a playmaker.

Long term, if Rossi progresses, I can see him becoming a 1C, and Hartman being the RW on the JEE line.

I don’t think Duhaime is a Top 9 F. Doesn’t have any offense at all. Rather have someone with some skill like Dewar or Gaudreau. JEE & Foligno are both Selke level players, they don’t require a massive body as 3rd wheel.

If it were last year's Beckman I'd agree 100% with you, but I'd like to reserve judgement until after camp this year.
I know he is young and his body and mind is maturing, but it's only a 4-5 month off season. It looked like he grew a little bit more last season, making him even thinner looking. It takes time for certain body types to fill out.

I'll be thrilled if he is ready to come up in January, but I think the 23-24 season is a more realistic target.

Doesn't have to. Bump up Duhaime or Dewar, Beckman jumps in elsewhere in the mix.
The only reason I mentioned it is I believe someone was "expecting Beckman to slot into that spot, to which I disagreed with.

I don't think that was what he meant though... as seen here...

He just said Beckman will plug the hole... aka... the hole in the lineup. Short a forward, need a forward, Beckman gets the call.

See, I took that more literally. Just my interpretation on the language used.
