If Brassard comes back, swapping him for Carcillo aint to the Habs advantage, that's for sure.

thats for sure...I truly believe Brassard missing has impacted us on quality chances.

We really need to get in front of the net and fire away...These Habs d-men look so gassed and out of breath by the 2nd period.

Yeah losing Brassard has weakened the Rangers 2 most effective lines. It sucks, I am hoping he will be ok after 3 more days. I wish it were back spasms or something not a shoulder.

It's flawed logic to suggest that a referee not calling a penalty on a hit is why Carcillo hit a linesman, and if a penalty was called "Carcillo wouldn't have done that." At not point is it justifiable to take liberties with an official.

It didn't look like Dan hit the linesman hard, but he did make contact twice. 3 games seems likely, but I wouldn't rule out 10.

the ref was roughing up Carcillo for absolutely no reason and he just reacted. Definitely should have been more disciplined but the ref was way way WAY out of line

Ref shoved Carcillo, Carcillo barely shoved him back. Without the action on the ref there is no reaction by Carcillo. But this being the NHL and the Rangers, the ref will be getting game 7 of the Stanley cup final and Carcillo suspended for 20 games.

If Prust is called, which should have been the outcome even by ECHL refs, then Carcillo doesn't go after Prust and the ref never gets involved.

I see three "shoves" or "hits" of the official. One for each game of his likely suspension.

The fact that Prust got away with a late hit doesn't excuse this at all.

Come on Carcillo was yanking at the linesmen. You can't do that. He wasn't engaged in a fight, he didn't need to do what he did, he was an idiot there.

If he leaves well enough alone these refs/linesmen, who were completely atrocious, are not going to officiate another game during these playoffs.

Edit: it was a linesmen making it even worse, those guys break up stuff all game long so Carcillo should be used to him by now.

Seeing as Prust is already fully engaged in a fight with another player... was Carcillo attempting to double-team him?

Who would think Carcillo was going to double team Prust? I mean how? he's not even heading there, yet he gets slammed into the boards by the ref and spun around several times. Even fighting players don't get treated like that.

"Slammed" into the boards? Didn't know Carcillo was so delicate.

No more delicate than Driscoll. I mean whats the call there? "His elbow gave me a grazing booboo on my arm"? He makes no effort to go anywhere, yet Driscoll is spining Carcillo around.

You realize I posted the GIF up there, right? Where is the "spinning"? If Carcillo wasn't going any where, why did he shove at the ref 3-4 times?

He deserves to be suspended at least 3 games, if not 10.

Slammed? hahhaha please point that out in the gif? I must have missed that slam.

You can read the lips on the linemen, he is telling Carcillo to stop the nonsense. Also in a fight the linesmen are trying to coordinate and get 2 seperated so no one gets an advantage. Here he was just trying to keep that yahoo (Carcillo) from doing something completely stupid to another player. He succeeded but failed all at the same time.

Carcillo should know better, you just don't touch the refs. That's rule 1.

"Slammed" by the standard Driscoll got "hit" by Carcillo.

very dumb play by carcillo...totally warrants whatever they give him...you dont hit refs...EVER. he overreacted to the play...i think ppl blaming the linesman are nuts.

The worst part was what was not shown on TV. It got very physical by the penalty box door.

He's gonna get it, imo.

He deserves it. No matter how bad your temper is, you're taught in pee-wees not to hit a ref. It's mind numbing dumb.

I know 2 guys that punched a ref, 1 wasn't allowed back in any rink on Long Island. The other got arrested down here for striking an official, I never saw him again.

Well, it took longer than I expected, but Carcillo costing the team by doing something mind-numbingly stupid has happened.

He was so well-behaved up until last night. I guess he was bound to do something stupid sooner or later.

He will surely have a target on his back after messing with a ref like that. Even the slightest infraction may draw the ire of the officials. Not sure what the Rangers will do about re-signing him now.
