Carcillo from Chicago to #LAKings for conditional 2015 draft pick.
 
This is a very good point. Assuming this is true, that puts Carcillo with Clifford, Nolan, Stoll and Fraser on the bottom lines.

Not exactly hockey's version of the Rhodes Scholars.

As a Flyer fan, having watched all of his games, I don't like him at all... and still have memories of him dragging down the Ricahrds line when MR was stuck with him. (Although MR never badmouths a teamate, and will give props to Carbomb)
and the only reason I can think of that DL would think about this is that the Clifford going to Montreal (perhaps as part of a package) are true and Carcillo is being brought in as a cheap (875K) replacement for him in the bottom 6.

DL won't bring in Carcillo with Clifford here. And if they are dealing Clifford, it better be as part of a package to upgrade at LW. Because I'd rather have Cliffy on the team.
 
I need to let this sit in and see how I feel about it. A few years ago I was calling for the Kings to get him but I'm not sure if he's got any sort of offense in him/how his knee injury will affect him. Also, Clifford gone now? Carcillo is a 4th line LW...

It's official Carcillo for a draft pick. Definitely the wrong move if they don't plan on trading either Lewis,Nolan,Frazer.
 
I don't get why people are surprised. Nolan struggled and played himself out of the lineup. Clifford just gets punched in the face and will end his career if he keeps that up. Carcillo can scrap and is a fine 4th liner. Plus he's a MEAN son of a *****.
 
The "X Factor" here is Sutter... He's not going to tolerate a guy who gets 5 min of ice and spends 15 min in the box... Carcillo will be on a very short leash and will have to play with restraint, and discipline. If this works, it adds an element to the Kings that might actually help more than hinder. However, if Carcillo does his 350 PIM in 55 games thing, it's gonna be murder on the PK.

Nolan struggled because he has a total of 70 games in the NHL.
