We either get the lazy always in the box Carcillo...or we get a decent winger Carcillo that's only usually in the box.

Tough call.

Wiki jumping the gun again. What an unreliable site, where anyone can change anything.

Nothing has been confirmed yet.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniel_Carcillo

Daniel Carcillo (born January 28, 1985) is a Canadian professional ice hockey left winger for the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL). His on-ice reputation has led to him being nicknamed Carbomb[1][2] and Gorilla Salad.[3][4]

Don't believe it, folks. No one of any stature has confirmed this yet. All silent on the Twitter feed.

When he was in Philly, he, Betts and Lappy we're fabulous on the 4th line. The problems came for Richie when Car Bomb was one of his wingers. He will be happy, though, they were roomies on the road.

I hate Carcillo. I'd hate this trade even if it's for a 7th.

This.
Carcillo can't skate, recieve a pass, send a pass, fight, commits way too many ill advised penalties (retaliation, obstruction) and has a low hockey IQ and isn't adding any size to the lineup...
Yes he's a POS hockey player - clearly he will help the scoring woes the Kings have...:shakehead

Maybe Lombardi will surprise me and make this clown our teams new waterboy...

Then why would DL go for this trade?

I don't get this trade at all, unless they are working on trading someone like Clifford and a d-man or prospect to get a 2nd line winger. Another 825k added to the cap for yet another bottom line player.

King, Clifford, Carcillo, Nolan, how many bottom line, left shot forwards does one team need?

If Clifford is on the move in another deal to upgrade a true area of weakness, I am cool with this, if not it doesn't seem to make any sense.

For who? The Kings have so much players in the bottom 6 forwards.

Lewis,Clifford,King,Nolan,Frazer,Frattin. Than you have the young group, Vey,Pearson, Toffoli, Etc.

-If there is going to be a trade, it will be something like this.
**Don't forget Chicago needs a Center. LA: Wants big body's.

LA:

Lewis
--
Nolan

Blackhawks:

Carcillo

Mac Carruth (G)

Possibly a suggestion.

LA: Has to many 3rd/4th liners. Getting Carcillo will bring more grit to the lineup. Moving Lewis wont be much of a loss with Vey,Pearson on there way up. Nolan wont be much of a loss for the Kings either. Bringing in Mac Carruth will be a good choice, He's a good goalie he looked very well for the Portland Winterhawks last season. And im sure he will have a great year in the AHL next season.

Blackhawks: Get a center who might not fill that 2nd line there looking for but he is underrated for sure. He brings tons of speed to the lineup and he can dish in some numbers on the 3rd line. Bringing in Nolan will bring in more grit to there lineup, and another big body. Losing Carcillo wont be much of a loss for them. He didn't play much due to injury's and other reasons.

Overall this trade would be pretty even.

If LA didn't get rid of someone or two. They are officially screwed and players will be getting pretty annoyed. They have to many 3rd/4th liners and with AHL'ers ready to make a jump

I am the one getting annoyed. I just asked for the mayor for confirmation, there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING on the wire or twitter about this.

NADA.

Officially screwed? What no. Obviously Dean has a plan. Lets just wait it out:laugh:

Then why would DL go for this trade?

Perhaps he decided that the top end for Kyle Clifford just wasn't that high and with two consecutive post-seasons with concussions coupled with a needing to re-sign him that it's not worth it?

You figure the last contract had Clifford at a $870,000 cap hit and if the asking price is way north of that then getting a guy in Carcillo at $825,000 saves him some financial flexibility.

Just speculating here.

Not sure why this is happening. Perhaps the $825k cap hit is Bud's money?? Here is another LW in Bud's place.

I think Pearson is and has been ticketed for Manchester this entire time. Vey would have to play out of his mind in camp to make the team no matter what Ferreira said. It will not hurt them to play big minutes in Manchester and be the first call-ups in the event of inevitable injuries. Kings will roll with 7 d-men by sending Schultz and Ellerby down if Mitchell can actually play.

24/Dan Clownshoe (4th line can be a lot of combinations)

8/44
26/33
2/6

A-Mart

I think they are more intent on converting Toffoli to a LW then converting Frattin for that spot. I think the 4th line is better with Lewis centering it over Fraser. Of course, I am in the "Carter at Center" camp but it doesn't seem like that is going to happen.

Strange move to pick up Carcillo though.
