A lot of people have had it a lot worse.

Plus, because I've been out of work and doing a lot of bed rest, I've been able to watch every single game. And my kids have been awesome taking care of things. I'm extremely fortunate.

Without being overly dramatic, it makes me want to not take the good things in life for granted anymore. It also makes me feel stupid for always complaining about having to do mundane **** like take out the trash or mow the grass.
I love hearing people with attitudes like yourself. I truly believe people in circumstances such as yourself who have positive outlooks such as you and looking at the brighter side of things it helps the recovery process. You keep doing what you are doing and stay strong.

By the way, I wrote the OP in this thread (almost 2 months ago) because I had been diagnosed with prostate cancer - which I had mentioned in passing before then. But the day I wrote this I was told the diagnosis was worse than originally thought and it wasn't responding to radiation treatment.

I was in a significant amount of pain at that point so they scheduled a surgery, which appears to have been successful, although they will have to monitor everything closely for a year or more, they say it's likely gone for good.

So if you're keeping score: Roboturner913 1, Goddamned Butt Disease 0

So happy for you guys. I'm not going to steal your thunder. Was in a long hiatus from pretty much all sports that I loved since my own injuries in tennis front. Now, much later, found that passion for sports again.

But the thing is, you as a collective made me a fan because of bunch of jerks, you're just quite the opposite. Ironic. You don't gloat too much, nor the team. Other "better" teams are so toxic - even when I like them, it's annoying.

And it's weird. I'm a fan now, but this is for you. Must feel so good. And it should. Kudos to you all. Young core with talent. Fans filling the crowd so there no fear of "losing a team". Keep it up. Your team really takes the energy of the fans and visa versa. It's just so great to see. Those long time or shorter time fans. Enjoy the ride. Was this corny? Absolutely. Was this my opinion? Absolutely.
