GDT: Dallas Stars 5, Los Angeles Kings 4 (Final)

Thoughts on game:

-Weak ass call on Pearson
-How was that not icing at the end of the game
-Tyler Seguin needs to learn how to trim a beard
-Kyle Clifford is playing well
 
First road period does it again.

Team needs to realize other teams get up for them.

Need Kopitar and Gaborik on the scoresheet. Kopitar had some great possession tonight but that needs to start turning into points.

Offense was fine though. Just can't be that bad defensively.

Just a 'meh' game that nearly turned into something hilarious.

Figure out the road games. Onto the next one.
 
Oh, and seriously, I would give Muzzin, McNabb, and Regehr more minutes than Doughty right now until he gets his primadonna head straight.

Those 2 are really starting to **** me off. I count 2 games where they were dominant. Besides those 2 games, they've been passengers, when they should be leading the offense.

Thank you dee for being honest about Dwight King however there are several posters in here that like to give me a hard time because i want to trade King However the all disappear when Clifford plays well and King doesn't. King 20 games 6 points -8 Clifford 21 games 5 points even

king time on ice 14 mins 59 secs
Clifford time on ice 11 mins 07 secs

which means he plays 4 mins more a game.

They better wake up by Tues, because the Kings will need a lot more from them and Carter if they intend to be in the game at all vs the Preds.

King and Clifford are both bottom 6 players but Sutter keeps trying to make a silk purse from a sow's ear with King, he isn't a top 6 player , doesn't have the kind of IQ or hockey sense. But Sutter keeps putting him up there because he's Sutter's favorite player on the team.
And if the right phone call came from a GM with a D to pitch, King will be traded if DL needs to do that to get it done.

I can't speak for others, but personally I'm just tired of seeing you complain about it. This team has 2 cups in three years and you go on and on about Dwight ****ing King vs. Kyle ****ing Clifford. Both of whom have been on both championship teams, coached by the same coach that won both titles. Is this really the big problem? Maybe give it a break?

Thank you Dee its nice and refreshing to hear a another king fan with the same view especially one as respected for there hockey knowledge as yourself. I was discussing this on the main board with a fellow king fan and i would be curious to hear your take on my right or wrong stand of kings value I maintain a 2nd 3rd and a warm body for the ahl top 6 would be fair take on it. My reasoning is we traded Vey for a 2nd and you would think King would have a little more value hense the 3rd and warm body add. However what your right pitch ?

I think the beef people have with you constantly chatting that up is that you're trying to force-trade someone for no reason other than that you don't like him.

Oh good, the one game sample size argument.

Clifford has looked great for his role this year. King keeps getting the square peg treatment. Even if Clifford has been better, it's a really unnecessary fight to keep picking out of the blue. Neither one of those guys was the problem tonight.
 
Just finished the game, surprised at that call on Pearson that killed any momentum after goal 4, yet I'm not surprised that the same crosscheck on Pearson in front of the net with 1:30 remaining was not. It was much worse.

This game was lost in the first no matter the final score was. 1 road win...ONE

I have watched King get talked about as if he was the reason we made them cup while several posters complain about clifford. I sat back and watch them continuely ***** about him, I find it funny with people *****ing about richards and brown and others You find my complaining about King as one your tired off. If you go back and look at when i complain about him its normally that others are complaining on Clifford especially trying to blame lack of points for a player playing the least mins on the team. Every one of the regular posters have there own favs and ones that aren't to ***** at me is funny. I also if you read my trade thread posts defend King as much as i ***** about him. I also try to always make a deal that improves the kings.

Yeah. I'm pissed at Rooney, as I said in the GDT. you could tell he was fuming after that argument with Quick and he stopped calling everything except the most brutally obvious calls after that. Not saying that had an impact on the game--just looked like his emotions got the best of his reffing abilities. Usually like his ability to control things even if he's a bit yell-y for my tastes.

You're more than welcome to discuss players as we are equal-opportunity haterade drinkers around here.

The problem is the context-less passive-aggressive shots you're taking at this mythical club of King-supporter-Clifford-haters. It has to stop. Please relax.

Right now? I think DL is trying to get a Dman, preferably a right handed shot and depending on who the potential trade partner is and what their needs are ,yes, I think he'd include King in a trade. I don't think he's looking to trade King as much as he would include him in a trade if it was for a player he sought. He also values Sutter's opinion and I wonder how much weight that might carry if that situation were to occur.

No i have maintain its because i think he is the most replaceable person on the team. If you trade him for pics you have over a million in cap space ( if you promote someone less the a million to replace his spot)

Having brown on the 3rd line makes us a better team
gaborik kopitar carter
pearson richards toffoli
brown stoll williams
clifford lewis nolan / andreoff

this is a better team and why i see king as expenable

As far as the sample size its the same one i saw on the board the other week where it was the great dwight king outscoring our whole bottom 6 now that they are out playing him it not allowed that is a joke. We needed cap space and trading King is the person that needs to go.
