Kevin Bahl with another point. Does this mean he's headed back to the press box?

Had it not been for him and the McLeod/Wood line the Devils would have been shut out.

Houston, we have a problem.

I would say I'm starting to have legitimate concerns about how soft our schedule was to start the year.

That was only our third game this year against a team that's currently top 3 in their division. I'd be curious to see the average win % of our opponents. It has to be below 500.

Man, who gives a f***? The Islanders lost to the Predators and Flyers within a week, Rangers lost to Ottawa/Chicago. Hurricanes lost to Anaheim in OT, etc. Shit happens.

The most disturbing stat this season is being 0-6-1 when trailing after 2. That needs to change. And stop giving up last minute goals.

Just go out and win the next game and get good vibes going again.

Ohhh we'll be saying that a lot in the next month.

Just you watch. Hear me now, believe me later.

I hear you. We all hear you. I just don't know why you're going on and on about Blackwood in a GDT when he's still not with the team. It's almost as bad as the doom & gloom posters here. Yes we lost, though Schmid looked great - enjoy that latter part versus worrying about if/when he'll get demoted for Blackwood.

Its just the WEIRDEST SHIT that these guys dont say SHIT when the team is having a top 5-6 start in NHL HISTORY. Then they have an off week and they cant wait to come in here and smell their own farts

what a weird phenomenon
Like I said, it's like walking into a room and there's 8 Devils Dominion's the left and 12 RangerDoggo's to the right.

And it was pretty bad last night too.

Knew it would be a wasteland if we lost tonight.

I'm chilled bro ... I'm just not going to make any excuses for them that's Sals and Danos job👍

Who is making excuses? They had a bad week. It happens. Its a longgggg season. To just immediately assume they are going to lose 3 more in a row is sissy dramatic shit.

and then when they win 2 of the next 3, you'll be nowhere to be found until the next bad week.

They played a good team almost completely even. The goals given up were a lucky deflection and a scrambly play with 2 seconds to go in the period. You people are absolutely insane if you get this scared of the wheels falling off after a loss. It’s unbearable.
eh, they don’t look like the same team that fired off that streak, and they’re not far enough ahead this early in the season to be comfortable.

teams have adjusted and are playing them harder and they need to adapt, right now it’s premature to throw the “death spiral” word out there but i’m not feeling good about their game

We are not on the cusp of falling apart.

Zetterlund needs to play up in the lineup with Hischier and Tatar.

Bratt should play with Hughes again.

Mercer is buzzing and he and Sharangovich should play together.

Johnsson should play with Wood and McLeod.

It doesn’t help we lost to two of our three biggest rivals then our old coaches and goalie. It’s not even that they’re losing, it’s how they’re losing with these amateur hour mistakes at the worst times.

That is what the Yankees said for the final two months of the season; that season didn't end well.

The Devils are not the Yankees, and hockey isn't baseball.

I get what you're saying, but to paraphrase Jules Winnefield, that is literally not in the same ballpark, league, or sport.
