Interesting stat. I always say the calls even out but its tough to argue with that number. We've got a -15 penalty differential in 12 games.
They probably wont even out.

Stupid penalties and the PK cost us. I thought we completely controlled the game at 5 on 5, but we need to sort out our special teams.
I think, on the PK in particular, it's a change in personnel. Our defence last year were really good at boxing out and blocking shots (Ceci/Ekholm/Desharnais). Looking at the goals tonight, we're collapsed at the net and in the shooting lane, but if you can't block the shot, all you're doing is screening the goalie. The irony is, that for a long time special teams was our forte, and now that our 5x5 is actually working our special teams have been way below average.
I thought Oilers were better in this game than Dallas, but just horrible PK cost the game.
We could have easily lost the series against LA in 4, but we had Pickard. We don’t have Pickard now, and Dallas is a much better team than LA was.Skinner turned a W into an L. Almost all by himself. Yet again. Its significant. It gives Dallas hope after having little of it the first two periods. A road W in game one is monumental. Skinner gave the game back. What a backbreaker goal to give up at start of third. Then the next one, and next one, and next one. I never wanted to see this fool back in our net again.
Whats it gonna take. The homecrowd jeering "Skinner" "Skinner". Somehow the home crowd loves this tool.

I'm not happy with the failure to finish, but they did a lot well and can beat this team. Avoid freebies, giveaways, pk and Stu, limit those and they'll beat this team.
I didn’t think Dallas did anything that would lead me to believe they’ll win this series. Calls will even out they always do just gotta get the next one.
Another issue that isn’t talked about enough is the PP.
This was an issue last playoffs too, can’t score a goal when they need it. PP has been ugly for a bit, they are looking for the perfect goal and I’ll tell you that isn’t going to happen very often, need to throw it on net and bang away sometimes.
Oh ffs. McD and Drai were owning in first two periods. Oilers had a commanding lead against a Stars club that has been having trouble scoring. Theres one reason we lost tonight and one reason only.McDavid has been average for so long. Starting to think his prime is slowly fading
His stats were still horrific despite shutouts in two of the first 5 games.I think he has Dan Cloutier stats (though the two back to back shutouts probably zoomed them up a bit), so worst playoff goalie in decades
Monty Python skit?Oh it was poopy pantaloons all over the ice from many.
Sucking that bad is truly a team effort
I thought Oilers were better in this game than Dallas, but just horrible goaltending and PK cost the game.
He was on the ice for 2 PP goals against, then got benchedBy my eye stecher looked really bad tonight
Anyone else notice that?
Might be yeah, I haven't really followed Oilers this year. Kinda felt like Skinner wasn't at his best either, but I think he can do better. The goaltender with his 4th game this post season with a SV% below .820 is more to blame then anything else.
That's 66% of his starts that he's 3 standard deviations worse than the historical performance of EBUGs.
Get lost trollOilers PP is f***ing pathetic.
PP1 should only get 45 seconds max
Sportsnet has shown clear replays of Kanes stick contacting Duchene’s cheek. It was a legitimate penalty call. The last one was a high sticking call with no context where Kane's stick was literally at duchenes waist.
I agree, but that's what's most frustrating. Heading into the third, message #1 has to be just stay out of the box. This isn't Vegas or LA- Dallas isn't really mixing it up physically. Several of the penalties (e.g. Perry crosschecking someone in the face) were just losing their temper.Their PK has been bad all year and playoffs. I don't see that changing. It is what it is. They need to play disciplined and they have too many undisciplined players.
lol maybe? I dunno. Just something me and my friends use to describe the oilers when they suckMonty Python skit?
I thought walman was not very good. He was doing way too much. Perry was really bad.By my eye stecher looked really bad tonight
Anyone else notice that?
Dallas Stars doing absolutely nothing on PP for 2 periods and well into the one they had to start third.Man snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.
