Nelson is the most "1st round pick (top 10 protected), B prospect, expiring salary filler" guy I've ever seen in my life.

Would be a good fit in either of those places although if I was Dallas I'd be looking for a defenseman first.

Yeah the Stars need a defender more than a Seguin replacement. They have the young guys to step up to take more minutes up front.

Dallas has a dearth of assets for Nelson, would Mayfield for something like a 3rd be okay? I don't see a good Nelson package there, but I don't know what prospects Dallas has that are worthwhile. Maybe Bourque and the 2025 1st for Nelson and Mayfield?
