I would take the pick over any of their prospects not named robertson, yesI know, but saying you would take the conditional #3 over ant of their prospects is silly.

How are people feeling better about this after seeing those conditions? Am I missing something here? That **** ain't happening lol
Yea but doesn't this essentially mean that Dallas definitely only views him as a rental, guaranteeing a 3rd rounder as a loss? Could you really see them losing an unprotected 1st resigning Zuccy in the offseason?
So most likely we got a late 2nd, and a 3rd.
I'm trying to understand something.
The general sentiment was a 2nd and a prospect. How is this not that, plus upside?
This is overly optimistic. Dallas has very low cap space so they would need to sacrifice the majority of that AND a 1st in a loaded 2020 draft to keep Zuccarello. Its fools gold and Gorton took itSome people seem to think the condition on the 2020 pick means that Dallas has no intention of re-signing Zucc. I think that's crap. They need to start making regular trips to the playoffs or there will be hell to pay in that front office. The ownership is tired of the mediocrity and there's no help coming on that 2nd line from their farm for at least another two years.
Gut feeling says Brassard winds up in Dallas before Monday or on July 1st to re-unite with Zucc. Rangers get a high 2nd this year and a 1st in a much stronger draft in 2020.
It's actually not... It's actually really great I'm home.
There are 4 possible outcomes albeit not equally likely.
Rangers get a 2nd and a 3rd
Rangers get a 1st and a 2nd
Rangers get a 1st and a 3rd
Rangers get a 1st and a 1st
That's an amazing trade imho.
Presumably Pouliot to follow.Brassard to Dallas incoming. Book it.

Because if Gorton waited till the deadline and had this return, I bet that your post would be "WHY DIDN'T GORTON TRADE HIM SOONER?!?!?!?!"Why pull the trigger now. Wait til the deadline if you have to. This isn’t a home run and other teams were interested. I’m not saying he should have gotten a 1st and a top prospect, but potentially just a 2nd and a 3rd is real hard to swallow.
It is 2019. People get outraged over everything. They have nothing better to do. We live in an outrage culture to be honest.I can’t imagine being outraged about this return.
