Is any cheap deal a good deal around these parts? He's the worst forward in the NHL.

Sounding like a nice deal here for Dallas, Jim Nill comes through again.

Is he still going with those 2 awful goalies? He is wasting Benn and Seguin prime.

As for Korp, 1M is too much, I dont know how that is a nice deal unless they are void of any depth

lol what's the point?

The team had alot of injuries in camp and pre-season and wanted another body.

Janmark out long-term , Eakin till November , Dickinson recovering from hip-surgery . Hemsky and Seguin are questionmarks for the opener ( thanks to the world cup ) . Nichuskin going back to Russian didn't help either.

Fair enough.

Anything to push Mashinter off the NHL roster

Im all for pushing Mashinter off the roster but there are better or equal options available for league minimum. Booth, Bergenheim and Boyes immediately come to mind.

Definitely wouldnt mind Bergenheim coming in and taking an audition

Feel like Boyes and Booth have taken enough try outs and shown they are long done

If we believe Sami Hoffren (the guy was apparently first to call this contract?) from Iltasanomat then Flames were also interested to offer a contract for Korpikoski. Treliving just didn't wanna/couldn't do a contract with Korpikoski before Gaudreau's deal is done. Stars offered a deal and wanted answer within 24 hours and Korpikoski took that.

Story in Finnish from Iltasanomat: http://www.iltasanomat.fi/nhl/art-2000001927211.html

He most likely replaced McKenzie who will go back to the AHL. The worst forward in the NHL is still a better player than generic AHL guy.

You'd think so but I'd say that actually Korpikoski is worse than a generic AHL guy.

He has absolutely no hands, is weak on skates and gets pushed down very easily, cannot even pass let alone receive one and if he ever gets an opportunity to shoot, it definitely isn't going in.

He cannot play well defensively and the only reason he gets called a defensive forward is because he is even worse at offense. His corsi% was the worst on his team last season. And that's on Edmonton Oilers.

He skates fast, that's about it.
