Picked up his second assist a moment ago, d-to-d and his partner Hunter Mayo scores. Red Deer scored 4 straight, 2 short-handed to take the lead in the game at 4-1 heading into the 2nd intermission.

With travel, I wasn't on top of Lindgren's game 5 performance...

Two goals (both on the powerplay), two assists (including one on the OT GWG). Muranov gave him fits on both of his goals, which is why it seems he's a -1 on the night.

Red Deer gets Saskatoon next.

He had a nice chance about 5 minutes into the 2nd, filling the LW lane on a 3-on-2, wiring it on a one-timer on the rush.

He just picked up another PP assist, setting up a shot by King that may have been deflected in front. Currenlty, it's the primary on the goal to King but that may change if they give it to Lind.

Red Deer has smothered Saskatoon tonight and it's now 5-1 with 6 minutes to play. Saskatoon has 9 shots on goal through 54 minutes. Signifying nothing, Lindgren's +2 though he had nothing to do with either goal other than being on the ice.

His shot results in a rebound in front that Isley banged home for the goal:

Being equal opportunity with the clips, he's pressured here buy Hensen and coughs up the puck to Shugrue. Chaisson eventually finishes it off to make it 4-2 Saskatoon.

If the score holds, this sets up a game 7.

And his pair gives it back as the Blades go up 2-1.

Leaves his feet on the 2-on-1 and slides past the net, leaving things open for the put back -

Then the Rebels score on his next shift, 2-2. I'll post the GA video when it is posted to the bird app.

Follows that up where his partner gets trapped up the ice, ensuing 3-on-2 has the other Rebel back being a forward who winds up stickless. 4-2 Blades.

Red Deer fumbles away a 3-0 series lead and will lose the series to Saskatoon, only the third time in league history it's happened.

What do you think about Lindgren?

I feel like he needs to improve a lot this season to earn a NHL contract.

I felt like he made the wrong decision with the puck all the time.
