Very strange Kamloops traded him away. They could have used him this upcoming season for their Memorial Cup season. I'm shocked they did cause he had potential to put up a crap load of points next season

Something doesn't add up here!!!

Kamloops must have something else brewing

So it's confirmed he asked to be traded out of Kamloops. Very strange seeing that Kamloops is hosting the Memorial Cup. I wonder what happened for him to want out

Damn that edge work walking the blue line was Makar-esque. I just watched It like 10 times in a row

His skating is beautiful. I think it was Gab who was talking about it early with the 10-2 stuff he does (Mohawk or whatever you would like to call it). He can get so deep into his edges and how he turns and then he has acceleration too. It's impressive.

I love when players incorporate those mechanics. Skinner and Antonio Stranges are two that come to mind that like to do It regularly. So as aesthetically pleasing.

Yeah, it's not quite Jeff Skinner levels of use, but he has it, and uses it to great effect.

Most notably on this ridiculous dev camp play:

Sadly on for GTG as Calgary and Red Deer go to OT -

He's #27 in black trying to get to the puck that trickled through.

Calgary gets the split, winning it late in the first OT. I haven't spent a lot of time dedicated to Lindgren so it's interesting to get a couple of periods viewing in playoff conditions.

What's your take on him

So far? An incomplete commentary would be mostly that what I already knew from previous viewings - skating predicates his game. I noticed that he wasn't on for the OT PKs and that the GTG came with him committing to a man in the corner that left him chasing the play back to the net. That said, he does some subtle things that I like with how he will delay to create an option to go up or reverse below the goal line in his own zone on board battles. Mostly non-descript but I like defensemen to be unseen and unheard.

He got some shots, had a bomb miss in the OT when he was stepping into one on the left point. *shrug* I don't know yet, hoping to get a few more periods to get a better feel.

He's a +2 so far tonight and while I'm not giving him an exhaustive eyeballing, I do like that he's very busy scanning for where opponents are in his own zone (something I like that Power does as well) so he can deny passing lanes and has an idea where the puck is going.

I had him as a 1st rounder, so I’m ecstatic we got him where we did. If he busts, you can invalidate my opinion of all future options.

Bookmark this for the next 10-12 years tho to be accurate.

Sedoff, the Finnish over-ager for Red Deer, is such a TOI sponge that Lindgren gets very little PP time, which isn't news just something to consider.

Late in a 1-goal game, not getting any late ice. He was on in the GTG in the game Calgary wound up winning in OT so maybe that's the adjustment.
