Pretty quiet on this kid. Any updates on his play this year?

Point per game, plays the important offensive minutes for Motzko's Gopher's as PP1 point man and when needing a goal. The Gophers are pretty good, hovering in the top 5 of the NCAA rankings. But he's also a senior so that tends to put some doubt in the drafting team's fans that the player might make a choice to go somewhere else.

In the summer it sounded like he's inclined to sign with the Ducks after the season, but you never really know

Ducks could really use him and Thrun in the system. There is no one standing in their way for NHL minutes currently, they're further along than Z and Minty, not that any of them are ready. Yes the Ducks are atrocious, but if you're looking at NHL opportunities, I can't see a weaker left side than the Ducks.

From all the talk of their returning seniors, it seems like all of them indicated they will go where their rights are held. I haven't gotten the vibe that any of 'em are looking to jump somewhere else with Lacombe, Faber, or Johnson.

Is he NHL ready?
He's good enough to give a shot. I've watched him for four years and I still am not of the belief that he has "it", whatever it is to be a top four D in the NHL and play 500+ games. Just don't see it like I saw with steady guys like Skjei, Lindgren, and Faber.

A guy like Mikey Reilly was more creative offensively, and even he had a hard time sticking.

I hope Beavis proves you wrong.

thank you for your opinion, hard to gauge with some of these college prospects

I know you watch the Gophs more than I do. He has all the size, speed and skill that you want in top 4 Dman, but I absolutely hate his decision making.
